Cape Town was wonderful. We had great weather and our air B and B apartment at Docklands was exceptional. We had a fabulous day at the V and A waterfront and a trip up Table Mountain with stunning views. We did a lovely Peninsula drive from CT to Boulders Bay with our driver Jimmy who was so knowledgeable about the area. We then flew to Johannesburg and had a safari trip to the Pilanesburg with MoAfrika. Sibusiko, our driver who collected us from the Holiday Inn at OR Tambo was really friendly and looked after us until we were able to check in to our accommodation at Bakubung in the Pilanesburg Game Reserve. From then Bakubung took over our game drives which we thought was a bit odd as we had paid and expected MoAfrika to take us into the park. We felt young children and their families should be kept separate from other adults wanting to get closer to the animals. There was an issue with one family not wanting to get closer than 200 yards from an elephant because they had young children
Read more on the vehicle which spoilt it for the rest of us. The weather was rainy and miserable which did put a dampener on the game viewing. We will certainly have another trip to the Cape and other SA destinations in the future and I would recommend anyone to have a holiday in South Africa as it is such good value for money to overseas visitors and the people are great.

Our whole experience arranging our tour with Explore & Travel Africa Company was outstanding. We were able to give Michelle some ideas of what we wanted to see and she took it from there. She gave us options and then based on what we decided, arranged outstanding places to stay and all our transportation. We were able to just arrive in Cape Town and enjoy ourselves without the worry of taking care of those details. Every place we stayed was amazing. We spent 3 days seeing some of Cape Town and had a great time. Our hotel was in an area filled with restaurants, and a quick Uber to the sites and places we wanted to walk. We had to miss our trip to Robben Island because of weather and Michelle jumped in and helped us with that. We loved the trip out to Cape Point and the cable car to the top of Table Mountain. I know they are both "tourist" sites, but we thought they were worth it. Then we headed to Sabi Sands, took a day to check out part of the Panorama Route and ended at Timbavati
Read more Private Nature Reserve. The highlight of the trip was staying in places that have many wild animals that we could see as soon as we drove into the camps. On our safari drives we were able to see all the animals we wanted to see and learned so much about other animals we encountered. This was a fabulous experience and I recommend it to any traveler who loves animals and nature.

Incredible experience in the heart of wildlife

My girlfriend and I were amazed during our outings in the reserves. Magnificent encounters whether by vehicle or on foot. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five and much more. I highly recommend taking a 3-hour walking tour; it's another experience to be had. Moafrika gave us good advice before the trip. And even though we did the safari with Viva Safaris, it was great. The places where we slept were very well equipped, especially the second camp. Going in March is a good idea to avoid the busy summer periods and, above all, it allows you to see baby elephants, zebras, hyenas, etc. The guides are really great at showing us as many animals as possible and giving us explanations.

Wonderful first time visit

We spent 5 lovely days in Kruger and saw almost all of the big 5 only failing to see rhinos. We got up amazingly close to wild animals and our safari was a total joy to my wife and I. Victoria Falls was a bucket list item for my wife and I and it totally lived up to its fame, what an awesome sight and sound it is. Finished off with some days in Cape Town and could have gladly spent an extra week in that beautiful city. We will definitely return.

A lovely holiday in the North East of the country. A few days safari where we saw the big 5 amongst other animals and birds. We also had a days drive around the scenic areas with lots of lovely views and tales of the history.
Great staff at the hotels we were in, helpful with travel, tourist information and dietary requirements.

Far beyond our expectations

Our first Safari and it was breathtakingly good, so far beyond our expectations. The guide and tracker were amazing and we got so close to the animals, particularly the big 5 which we encountered on numerous times, as the guide was allowed to go of the tracks and into the bush to view. We saw very young, lion cubs, elephant twins, rhino and Hyena pups. I was slightly concerned about going in April knowing the bush would thick after the rains but it did not matter and a bit as the guide and tracker new where to look. We even experienced a water buffalo stampede (albeit we only heard it as it was dark) as two male lions tried unsuccessfully for a kill. We're not birders but saw so many different birds I'm still trying to remember the names and identify them. Five different eagles, three owls and all the other smaller birds. Well done Discover Africa
