We only did Serengeti and Ngorongoro but both were fantastic. Couldn't have asked for more wildlife sightings.

Combine the crater with the Serengeti and you really see incredible variety of animals and a good chance viewing all of the big 5.

There are many animals at all of the national parks. The birding is great

I do not think I have to praise the northern national parks. Everyone is well aware of its beauty. I probably googled Tanzania for a month straight before I landed there and I must say a computer screen can not encompass the beauty.

Most people may praise the wildlife, but my review will praise the courteous people. We began our trip by flying into Nairobi and then into Kilimanjaro International Airport and we had lots of issues at the start of our trip in Kenya. But once we arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport our fate turned. Our guide was extremely friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. The people were all very friendly and offered to help us whenever we looked lost. During our safari, the guides, security guards, hotel receptionist, room service were all extremely helpful.

Our trip to Tanzania was everything I had hoped f or and more. Since it was just my husband and myself in an individualized tour, we were able to stop and spend exactly the amount of time we wanted with each animal and we always had a good view. Besides the animals we learned about several of the different tribes. It was our morning with the Wahadzabi bushmen that really blew us away! We went on a hunt with them and watched them get stoned, dig up roots, cook and eat the roots, get stoned again and also shoot arrows. Besides knives, this group has no material things. They were a very happy group and their mood was contagious and the life was fascinating!
In all three tribes the young children had draining eyes, flies all over their faces, and lots of mucous from their nose. That was really difficult to see as an RN and a mother.

Tanzania has a lot to offer. The people, the animals, the culture are all something that you are unlikely to experience anywhere else in the world (well, the animals you'll see elsewhere). In Moshi, I never felt unsafe walking around during the day. The people were quite friendly and always smiling and happy to talk. I will say, that riding or driving in Tanzania is not something for the faint of heart. There were times I really thought my life was coming to an end! So there is that negative point. I've also heard from people that traveling in Dar es Salaam you need to be extremely vigilant. There are numerous stories of robberies, but not having been to Dar, I can't fully comment.

I would love to go back to Tanzania to explore further. I would love to go to Gombe, Ruaha and Katavi National Parks.

Tanzania has so much to offer as a safari destination and visitors have the opportunity to see so much wildlife and bird life. The landscape is more beautiful than I had imagined, with the lovely shaped acacia trees to the more exotic looking baobab and euphorbia trees. Sunrises and sunsets are incredible. We were also very fortunate to be able to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara River.
