We went to the tarangiri nationalpark and it was beautiful but for the rare animals I would definitely recommend the serengeti nationalpark and a minimum of 3 or 4 days for the whole safari to get a great experience.

An incredible trip, stunning places and absurd wildlife spotted during game drives!
The trip is adventurous but worth all the effort.
July is a great month, dry and amazing if you push yourself up to North Serengeti to see the crossing of the Great Migration.
SafariBooking a great website to find different excellent tour operators. You still need to negotiate a bit, after first proposals for fair prices.

We had an amazing 8 day road safari through Tanzania in early June.
Weather was cool in the mornings and evening and warm enough for t shirts and shorts through the day.
Starting in Arusha we did day tours through Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and then spent 2 days in each the central and northern Serengeti.
Tarangire was amazing for elephants, abundant in zebras, bird life and the amazing Baobab trees.
Ngorongoro crater was our first sighting for Lions and Hippos, hyenas and again hundreds of zebra and Wilderbeast.
We saw all the big 5 at Ngorongoro except the elusive Rhino…
Our favourite was the central Serengeti… we saw all the big cats here and a leopard devouring his lunch in a tree was amazing.
Giraffes in the central and northern Serengeti were surprisingly prolific and each sighting was as fantastic as the first.
We were incredibly lucky to see the wilderbeast cross the Mara river.. what an epic event, some disappointment

at the various tour companies vehicles blocking the banks as the beast crossed.
The tented camps was an immersive experience, was nice to spend time at the fire with other travellers before dinner.
Delicious food and staff happy to hear about your adventures.
My tips would be to
1.ensure you have an experienced guide for your safari … a lot of cowboys out there… many roadside car troubles due to inexperience
2.enjoy the company of your guide.. we learnt so much more from our guide about the culture and the way of life for locals when we shared our meals with him.
3.do a cultural experience, not just a massai visit but the local farmers, or a school, so friendly to share their experience.
We loved the people in Tanzania.

We did a 7-day safari with African Big Cats Safaris. It was truly a very impactful time in Tanzania. An amazing place full of natural wonders and impactful experiences. We totally loved it all, it’s far too much to try to describe here, just something you have to experience. Endene was a great guide throughout!

We were a group of two families and made a round trip in Tanzania: Start at Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Serengeti (central and west) - Ngorongoro Crater - end at Arusha (flight to Zanzibar).
It was an amazing trip! We have been in South Africa, Namibia, Kenia, Eswatini and Lesotho several times before. But Tanzania and especially the Serengeti was the best of all! We saw a lot of lions, cheetahs and a leopard even with their babies - so cute! Our lodges were very nice and good located except our lodge for visiting the Ngorongoro crater. It was outside the crater, what I could not recommend. It was not fare away but it took us hours to go there because of the traffic and the road conditions. We felt always safe. Our tour operator was Roadside Tanzania. Our guide had good connections to other guides so that we always were informed very well about any sightings in the parks!
We finished our trip with a relaxing week in Jambiani at Zanzibar in a small boutique hotel. Overall it was a fantastic journey and we would love to come back!

We booked a 5-day Safari Trip with African pangolin safaris. The Trip included 2 days Mikumi NP and 3 days Nyerere NP. It was only the 3 of us with our guide/driver and that was such a good choice. We were very flexible regarding (lunch) breaks while the game drive and the drive from one park to another. The weather was perfect for a safari trip, it was warm like 22-25 °C and sometimes sunny, sometimes cloudy, so very nice to be outside the whole day.
While Mikumi was a perfect start to see a lot of different animals (we were lucky and also saw lions on our first day there) Nyerere was a nice add on to that. In Nyerere there was more variety in the landscape, so more like bush and forests, but also steppes and meadows. Some lakes for crocodiles and hippos were there also. It was a guarantee to see different animals, but less than before because of the number of trees and bushes. If you could see anything it was so close, but thats an amazing feeling.
It was our first safari

Trip, but certainly not the last. We would recommend going there in August. And not to worry about the moskito situation, we bought some moskito repellent in Tanzania for about 2000 Schilling and it lasts way more than 10 days. Furthermore there weren`t that much moskitos and all rooms were sprayed in the evening by the hotel staff.
We completed our holidays by flying to Zanzibar for another 9 days and liked the island as much as the safari.
So in conclusion Tanzania was a great destination for an unforgettable holiday trip.

We had a great time with a very experienced driver. Made sure we got to see the action wherever it was. Kind and calm guide, with a sense of humor. The safari package we got was absolutely to our expectations. We went for a more affordrable package, and boy did we get value for money. 3 days i think is more than enough for a safari.

This is my second time I been to Africa in year of 2025, but this time I go with my mom, dad and students of my mother's psychology studio. Overall the trip was amazing, the children were love the view in the Tanzania. Like Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. They saw most of the animals of the Africa and the views of the national parks. At the meantime, children were also like the Zanzibar as well. Not only the tour of the Stone City, but also they enjoy the beach and snorkelling as we saw the beautiful view under the sea and we got the star fishes as well. The drivers in safaris are relatively due diligence. They take us to feel the magnificent view and introduce the different types animals on the Great Savannahs of Eastern Africa. Also the tour guide Kennedy at Zanzibar helped us to change hotel as well, and bring us to the different places on Zanzibar island.
Finally, I appreciate Zanzi Trekking your sincere service and I wish I can visit more views in Tanzania in the future. It was great pleasure to meet you.
