We were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five.
Innocent was the right choice, always in the right place at the right time.
The camps were also very nice.
All in all better than we imagined!

Tanzania will surprise you in any conceivable way, in an overwhelmingly positive manner. I had the opportunity to travel to Tanzania with my wife for our honeymoon, we had the pleasure of exploring the Kilimanjaro region, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Zanzibar and Gombe. First of all, the variety of sceneries offers an adventure for each type of traveler, and when it comes to lodging, each destination can accommodate all sorts of budgets. The food was amazing, as it offers an interesting mixture of sweet and spicy, with a clear influence of Indian cuisine. Finally, the people were some of the nicest folks I have ever met, getting out of their way at every chance just to help and assist you.

The destination is safe, and the only danger will be deciding to stay longer, as ended up being our case.

My 6 day budget Safari was one of the best things I’ve ever done. Amazing close up viewing of the wildlife . Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater were to beautiful for words. Our guides were amazing , they had answers to all questions on the wildlife, and expert at locating them . Our Chef served up delicious camp meals , that exceeded my expectations for a supposedly budget trip. Wakanda Safaris we’re faultless. Loved every minute

A spectacular place to visit during the calving season.

We had a wonderful time on safari in Tanzania. The short dry season (February) turned out to be absolutely ideal. As it was calving season it was a real treat to see all the new arrivals. The weather was perfect (30 degrees Celsius with clear blue skies and no rain at all). There were essentially no mosquitos or bugs to deal with. Our guide was a superb driver and always managed to find the best view point when there was a number of tour guides competing for the prime vantage spot.
Our concerns about safety turned out to be unjustified. We always felt completely comfortable- both while on Safari and when mingling with the locals. We will definitely be encouraging our friends to follow in our footsteps.

One of the most amazing experiences in my life, wildlife was incredible!

I have dreamed of going to the Serengeti since I was 5 years old (I turned 70 the week before the safari). Incredibly, the whole experience was better then I expected or even hoped. We saw more than 50 lions, hundreds of elephants of all ages, from babies 3 or 4 months old to the full grown matriarchs of the herd, a leopard, multiple cheetahs and the wildebeest migration, with tens of thousands of wildebeest all around us. I am a birder so was also thrilled to see ostrich and several secretary birds as well as an array of hawks, rollers bee eaters and other colorful birds.
In Ngorongoro Crater we also saw 3 rhinos, completing the "big 5" as well as numerous other birds and mammals.

I should also give a shout out to Focus in Africa, the tour operator. We had an excellent guide who knew birds as well as the mammals, an incredible cook and comfortable tents and guest houses. Everything was very well organized and ran smoothly, communication was good and everyone on the tour professed to enjoy it immensely.

OVERWHELMING EXPERIENCE IN GREAT CONDITIONS

The feeling of wideness of this nature cannot be captured in pictures but is an experience that you have to absorb on the spot. The diversity of landscapes, wildlife and cultures is mind blowing and will be imbedded in your memory for ever. The difference between the "modern" world and the reality of nature is worth the trip.
The political decision to punish poaching extremely severely is a revolutunary changer and the effect is visible. During the game drives fantastic amounts of animals were noted and the animals gave the impression that humans were not considered as potential treads.
It was likewise encouraging the notice how little trash was left in the nature.
The people met were very friendly and providing an welcoming atmosphere without fear for robbery and danger.
Tanzanian people have understood that the benefices of tourism can only be ensured on the long run by mutual respect for nature and visitors.
Tanzania has so many interesting
Read more sites that it would be impossible to concentrate on it. My advice based on several trips in several African countries: take your time, don't rush to cover all the popular sites in your trip and tick boxes, rather let the beauty of this country and it's natural treasures get under your skin. Akuna matata should be the moto.

Mikumi National Park was amazingly beautiful with great opportunities to view the various wildlife. Our guide, Godfrey, was very knowledgeable about the area and provided us with a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Kihondo Travel.

I loved the parks of Serengeti, Ngorongroro, and my favourite, Kilimanjara! Tanzania has a lot of beautiful national parks, great servic, friendly people, and I also felt safe there. I had no issues with security. I am very happy with visiting Tanzania, and I will come again one day in the future.

our experience in Tanzania was above and beyond our expectations

It was a privilege to be on Safari in Tanzania. The organization of our Safari left nothing untouched so we were free to focus on the extreme beauty of the animals, countryside, places we stayed and the people we met. The Tanzanians who were responsible for making our adventure 5 star were attentive, kind, caring, engaged with their jobs and some of the nicest people we have ever met. Every place we stayed the meals were well thought out and frankly very delicious, this included the picnic lunches in a variety of picnic areas.
I think I didn't quite believe how prolific the wild life would be. Our Safari guide from Wayfarer, was tenacious in making sure we saw the Big Five, but also other more allusive animals such as leopards and cheetahs- we saw 84 lions on our 8 day safari, many of which were cubs. We felt his commitment to wanting our adventure to be the best! The twigas or giraffes were there in all their splendor with many babies as well. It was quite unbelievable at times the impact of being in Tanzania, on Safari, had on us.
