Uganda was awesome. The natural beauty is stunning. The camps we stayed at were comfortable, clean, in great locations, and the staff wonderful. We felt safe at all times due to the diligence of our guide/driver (Vianny from Home to Africa) and the additional guides. In regard to highlights, the landscape was the hit for us, of course the wildlife, including birds, was amazing, but just the natural beauty was our favorite. Even though we were traveling at the end of the short rainy season, our weather was terrific, with only rain during the day for short periods or at night. The previous rain did make for interesting road conditions at times, but really that just added to the adventure. Honestly, we did not have much interaction with local people outside of the camps, but when we did, they were gracious and kind. We would love to return to Uganda and spend more time, 7 days is not enough to fully appreciate such a marvelous country and people.

We had the pleasure of taking a 10-day trip to Uganda where we were able to enjoy visits to the national parks and see a multitude of animals, including the "big five" and to top it off the Gorillas.
It has been a fabulous experience, enjoying the wild nature, the agriculture with extensive fields of tea and other products and above all the friendliness of the people that makes Uganda a fabulous destination.
We have made several trips to Africa, and I can assure you that this has been the best by far.
For all that, if anyone is thinking of taking a trip to Africa, UGANDA is without a doubt the country to choose.

Really fabulous. It exceeded all my expectations. I hired Gorillas and Beyond Safaris. I had an excellent guide and driver, Baluku, and I was able to see lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, rhinos, zebras and hippos up close, in addition to enjoying the tracking of gorillas and chimpanzees and the wonderful boat ride through the Kazinga channel. All the hotels were excellent, as was the food. I thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely recommend it. I insist: they fulfilled everything and exceeded my expectations.

Uganda deserves its title as the pearl of Africa.

We were fortunate to stay 3 weeks for a trip around Uganda with N'Goni safaris, from end November to mid December 2023. Despite the rain season still ongoing the weather was pretty good all the time. The boat ride to see the source of Nile in Jinja was really good and a good start (we did not feel doing rafting). The Kidepo NP was on our tour, and the 8 hours of "African massage" going there form Sipi falls (the road is still being built) were soon forgotten. Another highlight was the Rhino sactuary which is also a great experience. The other big NP were also good to see and experience. Not to mention Bwindi NP and the amazing gorilla trek!! This is THE place to see gorilla!
We were able to see the big five (even if lions were not that close and absent from due to floading in the Ishasha region) and many other species (birds and mammals).
The landscape was varied (with the largest tea plantations we had ever seen), and we had the opportunity to meet different cultures in Uganda.
We definitely recommend Uganda as a country for safari and discovery of Africa.

Home2Africa and Ballam were such great guides. Uganda was so stunning and a mix of wildlife with Chimps and Gorillas and also safaris was just perfect. Just do your research on areas that may be unsafe ie by Congo border as a few terrorist activities have been happening and we got close to those areas at times.

Our trip to Uganda was purely amazing. We did an organized tour with Uzuri Safaris which brought us to several national parks with seeing the Gorillas as a highlight. The wildlife was spectacular as we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, a leopard and many more quite close. The landscape is beautiful and all the people we met were very welcoming and nice. Another highlight of the tour was a cultural walk through one of the villages where we could see indigenous life and learned more about the history of the country. We felt safe all the time.

I enjoyed Uganda very much. First I made a five day safari with Green Zones and I had the best guide ever. We did not only see the wild animals, we had a lot of time to explore them. We saw lions hunting a warthog, gorillas with a two month old baby, a lot of elefants, giraffes,...
After the trip I visited a school were my son works as volunteer and I experienced how hard life can be specially for kids. Parents often don’t have the money to pay the school fees and the boys and girls spend their whole day carrying water from the boreholes to the villages.
Travelling in Uganda was safe, even for a women alone and adventurous with many people sitting in a taxi or on a boda boda.
I would like to visit Uganda again to learn more about the country.

We did Chimpanzee & Mountain Gorilla trekking, which was the highlight of the trip. The close access to the animals was such a surprise, but also amazing. The trek to the Mountain Gorillas was a challenge, but so worth it. The guides and the entire staff helping with the trek were just awesome. It was a "once in a lifetime" experience for sure. Our tour guide from the agency Home to Africa, was Derrek and he made the trip amazing for us.

My experience in Uganda exceeded any expectations I had. The scenery was beautiful and varied: tranquil lakes, wild waterfalls, lush mountains with incredible vegetation and birds, dense forests and the open bush. Unbelievable sunsets and sunrises. The amount of wildlife is not as dense as other safari destinations so not a lot of big cats, however, the gorilla and chimpanzee treks make up for that. If you are a birder it is a must go. There are so many varieties and as one’s eyes adjust you begin to spot them everywhere. We went with a small local Uganda company, Azas, and Simon the owner came through on all that was promised. Our driver/guide, Allan, was one of a kind. He became like family. He made sure we were well cared for and went out of his way to accommodate us. The people of Uganda were welcoming and had such beautiful spirits. Our accommodations were amazing as was the food. I would skip the cities like Kampala and Entebbe except as a point of entry and departure. But the rest is pure magic.
