accommodation a little cheap about water, light etc... an you have to pay everithing (not all in)...
Guide ok ++ (Dunn) wildlife good for gorilla and chimp... not for the rest, but i only come for gorilla and chimp, so it's good for me. I have seen lion and all the rest in Tanzania, Tanganika and namibia...

How would you NOT go to Uganda?!

We were originally planning to go to Tanzania and Kenya, bet kept reading on in the guide book. When we found out you could see all the typical safari animals (lions, giraffes, elephants, hippos, zebras, rhinos, leopards, antilopes etc) AS WELL as to go chimp tracking and gorilla tracking, we were sold.

The great thing is that even with such high expectations we were not disappointed at all. What a country. So green and lush (thanks to 2 rain periods + rain inbetween), comfortable tempareture (thanks to a high altitude - most of the country sits 1000 meters above sea level), and a very varied nature and scenery (from flat savannah to rain forest to roaring mountains).

I have never been to a safari before so I must admit I don't know how many animals you will usually see, but let's just say it was not an unusual problem to try to photo an elephant - with the giraffe popping in an "ruining" the shot!

I also liked that there
Read more is no sense of mass tourism and there are rather few tourists there. Very nice wibe.

(On a general note, and not something we actually noticed in any way, being a woman and a man, Uganda has horrendous views - and laws - on homosexuality).

Got to see the big game Lions, Baffaloes, Uganda Kob, Elephants etc. Birding was limited other than Flamingo spotting at lake Katwe. Over all a great experience.

The wildlife has rebounded after being severely depleted, The scenery is natural and very varied. Compared to other safari destinations in East Africa, it is relatively uncrowded.

The country is visual diverse and stunning in a number of ways. The size of Uganda ensures that you can cover a lot in a short time period if necessary. The wildlife is, again, highly diverse and although it may not have the grandiose of Kenya and Tanzania it is certainly impressive in its own right.

I was very impressed with Uganda as a country and really enjoyed the enthusiasm from everyone I met. The wildlife spotting was fabulous and all the accommodation and food were excellent. Our tour guide was very passionate about the wildlife and scenery and all transportation was well planned.
