In Kenya the parks are amazing, you are guaranteed to see many different wild animals in different scenery and most importantly in their natural habitat.

The downside of Kenya unfortunately is the extreme poverty of the population.
We felt safe travelling with the tour guide I would not recommend travelling without one.

Safaris in Kenya are absolutely stunning. All you can imagine and expect before the trip will be nothing compared to what you'll see and experience. Wildlife is very well preserve, as national parks are as well. Personally, we went on a 6-days safari visiting Amboselli, Nakuru, Naivasha and Maasai Mara and we felt overwhelmed by its beauty. In fact, we were very lucky for having the best tour guide, Tony, who drove us to the best places and made everything he could to bring us close to a wide variety of animals.

We are group of ten persons from US did 9 days Kenya/Tanzania combined tour arranged by RightChoice Safaris. The tour was amazing with seeing a lot of animals, all Africa big five animals, big wildebeest migration and Mara River crossing. The food was surprisingly good to everyone’s satisfaction. Safety was no issue. Stay in lodge or tent, there were people outside whole night to guard for your safety. George of RightChoice is very good to work with and response to your question timely. We were in two land-cruiser. Our driver Jacob and Max in Kenya, Stwel and Achille in Tanzania were the key that we had this unforgivable journey. Specially Jacob not only find animals and explain things details and also can pick good scenes and angle stopping the car for your photo.

Only thing that bothered us is George didn’t tell us Kenya only take newer $100 bill, which make ran into a lot of troubles.

We had 6 days tour in Kenya with my family. Masa mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli we visited. Over all it was a great experience. Enjoyed everything what expected in safari including great migration. Weather was very good, not very cool and not hot. It is a safe country to visit with family.

The experience was with our Driver, Joseph, excellent in spotting and educational advice and best was the watering holes at Amboseli and seeing all the game and really well looked after!
The whole company from when booked back in 2021 was excellent in communication, advice and adaptable to changes. We had an excellent guide, Joesph. He was like informative and very good. Amboseli and Tsavo East mid range lodges were great!
Amboseli- watering holes and lakes in the game drives were excellent to see the game, Elephant, hippo, water buffaloes and flamingos etc.. He took us late in the day where saw the environs in excellent light! And made some great photos, and the evening came too!
We would travel with these guys again for sure

Beautiful and diverse national parks

We visited five national parks, all very different from each other and beautiful in their own ways. Masai Mara is a must with most impressive and accessible large fauna. Lake Nakuru for rhinos and incredibly beautiful yellow acacia forest. Lake Amboseli for the perfect picture of wildlife under Mt. Kilimanjaro. Tsavo West for mountainous scenery and the water hole in front of the Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. And finally Tsavo West, for the sheer feeling of true wild space.
It was cold in Kenya in August! The temperature dropped under 10 degrees centigrade some mornings. We ended the trip at Diani beach near Mombasa, where it was raining less or more hard three out of four days. According to the locals, it has been raining there in August the last three years, although long-time statistics depict August as a dry month. We absolutely enjoyed Diani beach anyway.

We, two adults (49y, 43y) and two children (12y, 9y), had a great time in Mombasa (Bamburi beach) and a 4 day safari (Tsavo East, Tsavo West, Amboseli and Mzima Springs). In total we stayed 13 nights.
The beach is beautiful, however the beach boys are annoying, you really do not feel comfortable to try a walk at the beach.
The hotel had great swimming pool and entertainment during the whole day, with all-inclusive you really have excellent food, drinks and service.
The 4 day safari was for sure a highlight: it is a long drive during the first and last day, but it is worth. Safari means that you need to wake up earlier every day as during the morning is the best time to see the animals. Late in the afternoon as well. Amboseli has lot of people doing safari, but you see a lot of animals and birds. Mzima springs is unique, it is a place to visit if you want to see a lot of hippos. Tsavo West and Tsavo East are very different, the first you might not see as many animals
Read more as in Tsavo East, however only in Tsavo West you might see the Rhino.
At the end we saw all Big 5.
Tips: do not buy souvenir at the Curios during the safari, it is way too expensive. All items are not priced, thus it is a matter of price negotiation. If you still want to buy something, ask for the price and offer maximum 1/3 of the asked price.
Please make sure to have the local currency with you (Kenia Schilling), the locals prefers the Schilling when you give small amount of money to them. Coins (Euro, Dollar, etc) are really not welcome.
