Exceeded all expectations. Incredible experience
5/5

We had the most amazing time on our honey moon safari. Axis have been absolutely incredible from the very start. They replied to any questions I had prior to the safari on WhatsApp very quickly and were so helpful.
Our tour guide Tom made our whole experience unforgettable. He was so friendly, gave us lots of information about Kenya and the animals and was so passionate about it. We were able to see every single animal we wanted. We saw majority of the big 5 within the first game drive and then the rest in the second game drive. And this was down to Tom’s dedication at finding the animals for us. We were very well looked after during our tour. Both of our accommodations were excellent and the whole trip was so well organised.
The optional activities were INCREDIBLE and so worth the additional money. The people in the Masai village were so friendly and taught us about their culture. The boat ride and the walking safari in Navaisha was unforgettable and a highlight of our trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and that is completely down to Tom and Axis Africa.

5 STAR 5 DAY HONEYMOON EXPERIENCE
5/5

I genuinely can’t put into words how incredible the Magic of Wild team were during our 5-day honeymoon safari in July.

As someone from the UK who had never been to Africa before, I was naturally nervous about booking and paying such a large amount upfront. We spent a long time researching different companies, reading reviews and comparing options, but there was still that uncertainty. Looking back now, booking with Magic of Wild was one of the best decisions we made for our honeymoon.

If anyone is reading this and has any reservations about booking – don’t. These guys are the real deal and they genuinely go above and beyond.

From the moment we landed, the experience was first class. They met us at the airport with a bouquet of flowers for Emma, personalised water bottles, and when we got to the safari vehicle it even had a personalised “Honeymooners” sign on the front. It was such a thoughtful touch and immediately set the tone for the trip.

Our guide, Kelvin, was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, friendly, funny and genuinely passionate about what he does. We learnt so much throughout the safari, and nothing ever felt rushed. It’s also worth mentioning that the roads in Tanzania can be unbelievably rough, so you put a huge amount of trust in your driver. Kelvin was fantastic and always made the journey as comfortable and smooth as possible.

The little details throughout the trip really made it special. On our first day he surprised us by setting up a private dinner table in the middle of the national park, which was such an unforgettable experience. Every day we had great lunches, plenty of drinks and the vehicle’s mini bar was always fully stocked.

Then there’s the safari itself…

We were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five, and I honestly believe Kelvin went above and beyond to make sure we achieved it. His knowledge of the parks and wildlife was unbelievable, and thanks to him we had some incredibly close encounters that we’ll never forget.

Freddy also deserves a huge mention. He was brilliant from start to finish and made us feel completely looked after throughout the whole experience.

The reason this review is an easy five stars, though, goes beyond the safari itself. On our final day, before flying from Arusha to Zanzibar, I accidentally left my camera on the safari truck. As you can imagine, I completely panicked.

What happened next genuinely blew me away.

Freddy tracked the camera down, found someone who was flying to Zanzibar that same day, entrusted them with my camera, then organised a taxi driver to travel over an hour to personally deliver it to our hotel. The only thing I had to pay for was the taxi fare.

That level of customer service is incredibly rare, and it’s something I’ll never forget.

Magic of Wild should be incredibly proud of what they’ve built. They don’t just provide an amazing safari – they create memories that will stay with you forever.

If you’re considering a safari in Tanzania or the Serengeti, I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Thank you again to Freddy, Kelvin and the entire Magic of Wild team for making our honeymoon so unforgettable. We’ll be recommending you to everyone we know.

Incredible safari with the best guide ever
5/5

Our family of four, including two teenagers, spent 14 unforgettable days on safari with Camp Trek, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience.
From the very beginning, everything was organized perfectly. Every transfer, the great accommodations, and activity worked exactly as planned, and the entire trip ran without a single issue. We also appreciated travelling in a modern, comfortable, and well-maintained safari car.
However, what truly makes or breaks a safari is the guide. We were incredibly fortunate to have Pili Pili as our guide. He is simply outstanding - champions league!
For him, guiding is not just a job—it is clearly his passion. His knowledge of wildlife is exceptional, and he shared fascinating insights about the animals, the landscapes, the culture, and the people of Kenya. We learned so much every single day.
On top of that, Pili Pili is an extremely safe and considerate driver. He treats both wildlife and people with great respect, and always made us feel comfortable and secure.
We cannot imagine a better guide and would recommend Camp Trek anytime. If you have the chance to request Pili Pili, do it!

The tour operator has WeChat, and deposit can be paid in RMB.
4/5

I took an 8‑day group safari tour with Eta Adventure Safaris. I am a solo female traveller from China. Eta Adventure Safaris operates together with Super Eagles.

Pros:

1. They have WeChat support. The deposit can be paid in RMB via WeChat, only 10 % of the full payment. It makes communication much easier whenever any issues come up during the trip.

2. Airport pick‑up and drop‑off services are free of charge.

3. I selected my own hotels and asked them to make advance bookings for me. All check‑ins went smoothly.

Cons:

1. Fixed group tours cannot be customised. I really wanted to see the wildebeest river crossing, which requires long waiting by the Mara River — some groups wait from 6:30 until 14:00. On shared group safaris you have to accommodate every passenger, so sightings depend purely on luck.

2. Tour guides are assigned randomly, so experience varies greatly. My first guide John was excellent and gave me a wonderful start to the trip. However, my second guide was consistently one to two hours late. We filed a complaint and got him replaced.

Summary:
Group tours bring together travellers from all over the world to share travel stories, which suits outgoing people. I would say this operator is worth considering if you book their shared group safari. It is a relatively large local agency. I met another Chinese tourist whose agency was terrible: that provider downgraded her accommodation without consent, charged for airport transfers and ignored her formal complaints.
