Also, our Guide Raffael was the best! We had the opportunity to see a lot of wild animals.

Excellent Attention to Detail - Above and Beyond Service - Amazing Experience - HIGHLY Recommend!
The Northern Tanzania safari trail is an amazing experience, but not without its challenges. Our family of six was prepared for roughing it a fair amount on this safari, having been to many of these places some 30 years ago, but Tanzania Choice Safaris made the experience smooth and enjoyable. First, the communications with Brenda were excellent, and the advanced guidance helped us really get prepared. There was not a question we couldn't ask that didn't get a thorough response. The planning was really above and beyond. I had been a Peace Corps volunteer in the Moshi area in the 1990s and asked Brenda if there might be a way to visit my old school. Not only did they find a contact there, but our guide drove us from the airport to the school immediately upon arrival. Priceless! It is clear that the company has contacts everywhere and that's a huge advantage in Tanzania, where relationships are everything. After paying more than $500 to apply for e-visas that were not immediately forthcoming, the company reached out to Tanzania migration to successfully request expediting. Entry at the airport was simple and straight forward, though as a U.S. citizen you might need to remind the health inspectors that screen passengers at the airport that Americans do not need a Yellow Fever vaccine.
Our guide Leslie was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and detail-oriented. His English was excellent, and he was always patient and willing to help us with our rudimentary Swahili. He knew everyone at the excellent places we stayed and had no problem helping us iron out any problems we had along the way. He knew all the animal hiding spots, and we got some incredible time (in many cases ALONE with no other vehicles to be seen) with some amazing wildlife. Not only did we see all the Big Five, we saw the Ugly Five by the dozens, giraffes by the tower, monkeys by the troop, and so so many birds that many tour operators blow right by. And Leslie knew details about all of them and enjoyed explaining what they were doing, why they were building such an extravagant nest, etc. My kids learned so much. It was a once in a lifetime experience and Tanzania Choice Safaris understood that and made it special. Thank you Brenda, Leslie, and Kakacee!

Best experience ever
We had such an amazing time. We did a 3 day safari to ngorongoro, tarangire and lake manyara. We got picked up by airport and transferred to the hotel. The next day we got picked up again and are safari started. Overal everything was taken good care of. The accommodation was nice as well as the food and the driver! I could recommend it to anyone.

Amazing operators with good services
These guys know what their doing. They offered a fantastic service by waiting for several hours for us on the airport because our flight was delayed. They picked us up from the hotel and drove us to our next accommodation . The guide was also very good (Jackson) and told us a lot about the national parks and the animals. All in all I would recommend it highly.

SO much fun and an unforgettable experience.
If you're having second guesses about finally booking this trip, don't hesitate any longer. The entire trip was very well organized by an amazing staff that made us feel safe the whole time. The guides are very knowledgeable and love to share anything and everything about their country, you might actually become very good friends with them :) Truly an unforgettable experience that will be with me the rest of my life!

This Safari was the best trip I have ever been on. It was well organized and I felt so safe the entire time, that allowed me to relax and enjoy the beauty of Africa! The guides knew all the best spots to take us to catch a sighting of the animals. By the end of the trip it felt like the guides had become our friends, and it was sad to say goodbye! 100% worth every penny in tenfold, I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful safari
We have just finished a 4-day safari with Suricata Safaris. We saw an incredible number of animals, and the camping nights went very well despite the cold. Our guide, Melita, and our cook, Jeremiah, were fantastic and made sure that the schedule changes had as little impact on us as possible. Thanks as well to our guide on the last day, Antho, who introduced us to Tarangire.

Trip of a lifetime, with help from Claire at Off2Africa
We travelled from Canada to Africa for our trip of lifetime. The experience was more than we could have hoped for. It all started with connecting with several agents and determining that Claire at Off2Africa was the best fit for us. We knew generally what we wanted to see and do while in Zimbabwe, and Claire was able to chat with us to ensure we were able to see and do exactly what we needed. She customized part of our trip and was extremely helpful with consulting on where we go, and our transportation. Some of our itinerary was not a standard request, but Claire made sure it was taken care off without any worry or stress. The camps she set up for us to visit were fantastic. The service and kindness of all the staff was 5 star service and then some. The animals, the safaris, walking safaris, nights in treehouses, fishing and the sunsets are memories we will cherish. Thank you Claire for being so attentive even during our trip. We hope we will go back again some day and we'll be in touch.

A wonderful and romantic trip
I trusted Extra‑Miles long before my trip even started. I had really pleasant conversations with Simon, the sales representative. We worked out our travel plan carefully every single day. He replied to my messages promptly even when it was very late in Kenya. He is sincere and hard‑working. I’m extremely grateful for his recommendations of such wonderful hotels and itinerary.
On our departure day, our flight left early in the morning. Simon waited for us ahead of time, which warmed my heart. He helped us get local SIM‑cards. I gave them small gifts from China, putting me in a great mood right at the start of the journey.
Our official tour kicked off on June 10. Our guide Ximeng was shy at first yet highly dedicated. We drove a long way to Samburu. The wildlife there was absolutely breathtaking. Ximeng introduced every animal to us. We spotted reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras and rare lions. We were lucky enough to see four out of the big five within the first two days.
I have to mention how attentive Simon is. Whenever he got news of lions or leopards, he drove there at full speed. He could predict where the animals were heading, so our vehicle always got the best viewing spot. He even checked guidebooks to identify animals for us.
After staying two nights at the lovely Simba Hotel, we headed to Nakuru. The stunning Sopa Hotel relaxed all of us, surrounded by picture‑perfect scenery.
Later we travelled to the Masai Mara, Ximeng’s hometown and the biggest surprise of this trip. Thanks to him, we saw nearly all the famous lion prides. He parked properly for our photos and moved on quickly to look for more wildlife. Everything went perfectly.
Our next stop was Lake Naivasha. Our local agent Simon arranged a free boat cruise for us. Guide Ximeng toured Crescent Island with us and took excellent photos. I took plenty of precious pictures with animals together with him.
The final destination was Amboseli. Right now I am lying at the gorgeous Praro Hotel, gazing at Mount Kilimanjaro while writing this review. Last night we chatted with Ximeng around a campfire. He gave each of us four Kenyan‑style names, which was hilarious. We formed a close bond from spending whole days in the car together.
I will whole‑heartedly recommend everyone from Extra‑Miles to my friends, and I will choose this agency again myself. Special thanks to salesperson Simon and guide Ximeng. Hope we meet again someday.
