Unforgettable Safari – Perfect Organization and Amazing Guide!
Our safari was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We were incredibly lucky and managed to see all of the Big 5. A huge part of this amazing trip was our guide, Jafary. He was absolutely fantastic, explained so much about the wildlife, and always knew the best spots to take us.
The entire trip was perfectly organized. A special thanks to Maria from the organization team. We had one or two minor difficulties from our side, but she was incredibly helpful and handled everything smoothly. The airport transfers were flawless as well.
Furthermore, the accommodations completely exceeded our expectations. The hotels were spotless and of a much higher standard than we had anticipated. On top of that, everyone we met was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend booking with them!

Wonderful Tour provided by wonderful Tour Operator
An African safari has always been high on my bucket list. When the time finally came to do one, I scoured the Internet for information. I discovered Safari Bookings where there is an abundance of tour operators and found Zungu, clearly one of the smaller companies. In getting various quotes, Zungu provided an itinerary for a Tanzania safari and Zanzibar beach vacation that was thousands of dollars cheaper than the others, some of which didn't even include a private guide, which we wanted. I was a bit apprehensive due to the small number of reviews from Zungu clients that I was able to find and wary of making substantial international bank wire from the US. But, I crossed my fingers and we went with Zungu. And everything went smoothly and we had the vacation of a lifetime. John, the owner, met us at JRO Airport and was totally accommodating. We met our private guide, Joseph; the next morning, After our first night in Arusha, our safari itinerary for the Northern Circuit was 1 day at Tarangire, 1 day at Lake Manyara, 2 days at Serengeti and 1 day at Ngorongoro. Each park was incredible and unique. Joseph was knowledgeable, constantly seeking to find us the most remarkable sightings, amiable, and excited himself about the animals. Watching other guides position their vehicles when a particular sighting attracted multiple vehicles, it was apparent that Joseph distinguished himself at placing our vehicle at the most advantageous vantage points. I'd say the performance of the guide is the most important determinant of the quality of the safari, and our guide Joseph rated 10 out of 10. Following the safari, we spent 5 days at the Zanzibar Baraza Resort, mostly relaxing. A couple of minor glitches came up during the vacation, and John was unfailingly responsive and handled them smoothly. Based on our experience, I highly recommend Zungu. And, while they might have other safari guides just as capable as Joseph, I highly recommend requesting him as a sure bet for a Great safari guide.

Wonderful 2-day experience in Mikumi
I was annoyed with the tour operator when I had to cancel and rebook the trip at a higher price a couple of days ahead of the tour. However, aside from this misunderstanding, the communication with the operator was very good, and the value for money was very high even at the raised price. Especially the guide was fantastic! Asante sana!

Richard is very knowledgeable and knows how and where to see each animal! He’s a great driver and nice person. The jeep is comfortable and Escarpment Luxury Lodge, which comes with the safari package, was incredible. Amazing food, kind people, and gorgeous views.

We were fortunate and pleased to travel on a four-day safari with Omar. We visited Tarangire Park, the Serengeti Park, and Ngoro Ngoro Crater. We stayed in beautiful, comfortable accommodations, such as the Friends Camp and coffee lounge. Omar was a caring caretaker, a wonderful companion, and most importantly, an excellent guide who showed us the Big Five in spades. We saw entire families of lions with their cubs, herds of elephants, rhinos, hyenas, giraffes, dozens of hippos, jackals, herds of buffalo and wildebeest, as well as zebras, four cheetah cubs, and, of course, a leopard! Outstanding Safari Experience with Avant Africa Safaris!
Our family and friends had the pleasure of traveling with Avant Africa Safaris to Samburu National Reserve in June, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from beginning to end.
We were a group of eight people, each with different preferences and expectations when it came to planning the trip. The Avant Africa Safaris team was incredibly patient, accommodating, and professional throughout the entire booking process. They took the time to understand everyone's needs and guided us in choosing Ashnil Samburu Camp, which turned out to be the perfect fit. The camp offered excellent hospitality, comfortable accommodation, delicious meals, and a beautiful setting overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River.
A special thank you to our guide, Kiambati, whose exceptional knowledge and passion for wildlife made every game drive memorable. He was outstanding at spotting animals, sharing fascinating facts about the wildlife, birds, and Samburu ecosystem, and ensuring that everyone in our group had the best possible safari experience. His professionalism, patience, and warm personality made him a pleasure to spend time with.
The entire safari was well organized, from transportation to accommodation and game drives. We were fortunate to see an incredible variety of wildlife, including several of Samburu's unique species, and every day brought new and exciting experiences.

Omar was greatly invested, helpful and told interesting facts!
The whole trip was a great experience. We had a chance to admire the animals and nature - we were surprised how closely they come to cars which allowed us to see them in detail! Accommodation was great as well, we had a chance to try local food and drinks. Staff was super helpful as well, everything was clean and greatly organsied. Our tour guide, Omar, was amazing - he really tried his best ( and succeeded) at showing us all the possible animals, was always happy to share his culture as well as knowledge about parks nature and animals. He was always very helpful and nice! Overall, we had amazing time and are very happy with our choice - strongly recommend!

Well organized and gave me peace of mind with all expectations of my travel
My wife and I came to Tanzania for our honeymoon. I was completely satisfied with the entire process. The booking was made easy and they had planned out a very detailed itinerary. They were very responsive in all communication before our trip answering all questions I had. All transportation from lodge to lodge was timely and well organized. Our safari guide Lovoi was great. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with all questions we had regarding the places we visited and the animals we saw. He did a great job of making sure we were able to see everything we wanted to see. All lodges we stayed at met my expectations or exceeded them.
