Fantastic 2 day Lalibela tour
The experience was fantastic. Daniel was born and raised in Lalibela and knows every corner and every church perfectly; they're all incredible. Lalibela is a special place, culturally and historically very interesting. My wife and I initially planned a 2-week holiday in Zanzibar to celebrate our belated honeymoon. While there, we became acquainted with Yahya and Blue Mist Safaris, where he proposed a 5-day getaway to the Serengeti that was too good to turn down.
He took care of flights (on very short notice), transfers, travel insurance and safari logistics very efficiently. Moreover, using his relationship with the hotel in Zanzibar, he managed to negotiate with the hotel we’ve paid for a full 2-week period to agree to refund us for the period we’ll be in the Serengeti.
We’re not really safari goers but we probably loved the safari part of our holiday more than the Zanzibar part. The guide (Idrees) was exceptional, animals were phenomenal (like watching a documentary, but LIVE!!), the lodge was surprisingly good and our vehicle was brand new!
If you’re considering a trip to Tanzania, consider having Blue Mist as your hosts. You’ll thank me later :)

Four Days Fresh Air and a Different Kind of Family Trip.
Went on a 4-day safari with my family last week. Honestly, it was a fairly easy trip overall. Getting there and settling in didn’t take much effort which helped since we were traveling with kids.
The stay was decent clean rooms quiet surroundings and close enough to the main safari area. Nothing felt over the top just practical and comfortable. Most days started early with the drives, and the guides handled things calmly. They pointed things out when needed but didn’t talk too much which I personally liked.
We saw quite a few animals over the days though some drives were slower than others. That’s just how it goes I guess. The kids stayed interested, so that was a good sign.
By the end of it, the whole trip felt steady and manageable. Not perfect, but it worked well for what we wanted — some time outdoors without too much hassle.

My dream came true with Benson
We had planned and booked a private trip with Benson.
On the Lemosho route to Uhuru Peak.
Everything went perfectly from start to finish: Benson tailored the tour exactly as we had hoped.
Communication from Germany was flawless; last-minute requests were always answered promptly and very kindly.
The team on the trek was welcoming and always in good spirits. We felt well cared for; we lacked nothing.
Of course, a tent isn't a luxury hotel, but the team did everything they could to ensure our comfort. I can't fathom how the cook managed to conjure up such delicious meals under those conditions.
On summit day, the weather was extremely bad: it snowed, and we battled our way to the top for nine hours. The guides led us safely to the summit. They lovingly encouraged me whenever I was about to give up.
I'm at a loss for words to express what a magnificent experience it all was. I am grateful for the wonderful collaboration with the entire Benson team.
This was already the second trip we've taken with Benson. In 2024, we spent 10 days on safari with him. And should we return to Tanzania a third time, Benson will again be our contact.

I recently did a 2 day safari to Maasai Mara with Savannah Budget Safaris. They are a new company, but I really liked their tour offerings over others and I'm so glad I went with them! Maureen was super communicative and hospitable. She put together an itinerary that fit my needs, as I had limited travel time. The drivers and safari guides she worked with were wonderful! Super kind and answered all of the questions I had about the flora and fauna. I can't wait to come back to Kenya and book another trip with Savannah Budget Safaris! Highly recommend!!
