Excellent service and well-planned tour
I recently booked a 3-day tour with Serengeti African Tour covering Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and a 1-day Kilimanjaro hiking tour, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience!
From start to finish, the trip was exceptionally well-organized. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned to maximize our time at each destination without ever feeling rushed. Every detail, from transport to meals and park entry arrangements, was taken care of seamlessly.
Our guide was not only knowledgeable and professional but also passionate about the region’s wildlife and culture. Tarangire was breathtaking, filled with elephants, baobab trees, and incredible landscapes. The Ngorongoro Crater was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we were lucky to spot the Big Five in a single day!
The 1-day Kilimanjaro hike was the perfect ending to the tour, challenging yet rewarding, with stunning views and a supportive team to guide me along the way.
The entire trip felt safe, smooth and above all, memorable, especially for a female solo traveler. I highly recommend this agency to anyone looking to explore Tanzania with a team that truly knows what they’re doing. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!

Safe, comfortable and an amazing wildlife spotter
Such a good company, look no further! We took a private tour for our family. They were responsive, clear, well organised and easy to deal with. The guide was fabulous. Drove safely, was a master of wildlife spotting and knew a lot about animal species and behaviour and was fun to talk to. The vehicle was in great condition and tidy. And the accommodation was top notch! We saw so much wildlife and came back so happy. 10 out of 10 😊
Great Guiding and Hospitality on a 4-Day Safari Across Tanzania’s Best Parks
We had an amazing 4-day safari across Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro — a truly memorable adventure in the heart of Tanzania.
Our guide Rashid made the experience smooth, safe and incredibly enriching. He was extremely knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions and spot wildlife we would have never noticed on our own. His calm attitude and flexibility allowed us to enjoy every moment, from game drives to extra activities like visiting a Maasai village.
We also want to mention Dennis, our private chef, who treated us to excellent meals every day. The food was tasty, varied, and always served with a smile — a real bonus to an already unforgettable trip.
We were lucky enough to see 4 of the Big 5, and came home full of wonder and gratitude for this incredible journey.
Huge thanks to the whole team — highly recommended!

Heartfelt Thanks to Rashid & Dennis – Our Safari Dream Come True
We’ve just come back from an unforgettable 4-day safari through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro — and we owe this incredible experience above all to our amazing guide, Rashid.
His deep knowledge of the parks and their wildlife, his sharp eye for spotting animals (even the most elusive ones!), and his endless patience made our trip truly special. He didn’t just drive us — he shared stories, fun facts, and insights that brought everything to life. On top of that, he was always kind, accommodating and ready to fulfill any request — from photo stops to organizing a visit to a Maasai village, which was such a powerful and moving experience.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to Dennis, our personal chef, who spoiled us every single day with delicious meals. Every bite felt like a gift — and, believe it or not, we started calling him our lucky charm: with him around, we managed to spot 4 out of the Big 5!
We’re so deeply grateful for this journey and especially for the wonderful people who made it feel so effortless, warm, and full of wonder.
Asante sana, Rashid & Dennis — you’ll always have a special place in our hearts!

Excellent experience and support from Serengeti African Tours.
Fantastic trip!
Inviolata helped us organise everything and communication was seamless via WhatsApp, throughout the months before departure. Everything was perfectly arranged for our arrival and stay. Lodges and camps were of great quality (Suricata Boma Lodge and Ang'Ata Serengeti Camp above all) and their staff very helpful.
Our guide Lawrence and head chef Mataio, made the trip to the parks the most entertaining and fun. Lawrence took us to see the big 5, we were not short of lions, elephants, but we also saw cheetas and a beautiful leopard. He told us many things about the parks and about life in Tanzania in general. Mataio is an awesome cook, we ate delicious lunches and he's also a fun company to spend the drive with.
Great assortment of different people in the Jeep. We really became friends after 7 days. A wonderful experience, I recommend everything of it and strongly recommend Serengeti African Tours services.

A once in a lifetime experience
Communication from the start was fantastic, with the tour operator answering many questions through WhatsApp very quickly and promptly. We also were welcomed at the airport and taken to our hotel, the company were flexible and looked after us well. We chose the mix accommodation tour and I think it gave a great introduction to an African Safari.
We saw many animals, the big highlight being a leopard in the Serengeti. We also spotted Cheetah, Honey Badgers, Hippos etc… it was a fantastic experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and was always on hand to answer any questions. As the roads can be quite bumpy, he was also quick to fix any problems with the vehicle.
Food provided was good and we really liked the fridge in the back of the jeep to provide drinking water and even alcohol, this was a really nice touch.
I can’t praise our guide enough for finding us a leopard in the Serengeti so thanks again for being patient and knowing the territory of the leopard, this meant we waited in the exact right spot it ended up walking past!
Thank you for an unreal experience!

Dedicated for the best experience
I had amazing tour with unforgettable Tanzania’s landscape and big 5. Provided service was perfect and beyond expectations for the budged level tour. Tour guide Ruben was very experienced and knowledgeable. He was able to spot animals from the distance and knew best locations to spot lions, cheetahs, and leopards. I did enjoy every moment of the tour. Thank you Ruben and the team.

Suggest to avoid below average agency with a bad driver
Local agency offered a fair price and booked good accommodation. However, their customer service and English communication were not very strong.
The main issue was our driver. He struggled to find good viewpoints and was not responsive during key moments. We went to see the river crossing, leaving at 6 a.m. and arriving on the spot first. However, when the crossing began, he parked in the wrong place (three times) and didn’t react in time—so we couldn’t see anything, despite having clearly stated that this was our top priority.
Throughout the safari, he often rushed us, especially when we were watching animals—despite this being the main reason for the trip. He always tried to bring us back to our hotel as soon as possible (always dropping us at around 3).
On one occasion, he misunderstood the phrase “why not” (we’re still unsure what he thought he heard) and suddenly became angry, yelled at us, and even suggested he might leave us behind—in the middle of the Serengeti. Although we explained several times that he had misheard and apologised regardless, the situation didn’t improve.
This incident, combined with the missed river crossing, left us feeling that the safari was a waste of money. We gave the minimum tip, though we felt even that was too generous, and he accepted it without saying thank you.

Yes, we did receive a complaint from this client regarding the guide. However, the main issue arose during the day at Kogatende (Northern Serengeti) while spotting the Great Migration. As per the national park regulations, no person is allowed to leave the safari vehicle except in designated picnic areas. The clients insisted on being outside the vehicle near the animals, but our guide could not allow this for their safety and to respect the park rules.
Unfortunately, this situation caused some frustration, and the client was unhappy with the guide from that point onward. Despite this, our guide continued to do everything possible to make their experience enjoyable. In fact, they were fortunate enough to witness the incredible river crossing a highlight of the Great Migration yet this was overshadowed by their earlier request.
We always prioritize the safety of our guests and adherence to park regulations. Our guides are highly trained to ensure both, while still providing the best safari experience possible.
