My partner and I chose the 2 Day Lalibela Tour with Danakil Depression Tours, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip to Ethiopia. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the incredible rock-hewn churches, rich history, and peaceful atmosphere that make Lalibela so unique. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories that helped us understand the significance of each site. The tour was thoughtfully organized, giving us enough time to explore without feeling rushed. Every detail, from transportation to the itinerary, was handled professionally, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Unforgettable experience
From the very beginning, Sammy replied to my emails really quickly. It didn’t matter if it was a weekday or weekend, or even with the time difference. He always got back to me in a couple of hours. If it wasn’t for him, I honestly don’t think I would have had the motivation to make this trip happen.
When he picked us up at the airport, we immediately felt how genuine and caring he was. Throughout the trip, he regularly checked in on us to make sure everything was going well.
Our guide, Gabriel, was amazing. He was incredibly experienced and always quick to head to wildlife sightings as soon as he heard them over the radio. He also made sure we got the best spots for photos. What impressed us most was that he could drive and spot animals at the same time. He often found animals long before we even noticed them ourselves.
I’m so glad I chose Splendid Vacations. They made our Kenya safari an unforgettable experience, and I’ll definitely book with them again if I ever come back to Kenya. Highly recommend!

An Unforgettable 5-Day Safari with Axis Africa Safaris!
We had an incredible safari experience with Axis Africa Safaris from start to finish.
During the planning and booking stages, Ms. Maurine was outstanding. She was extremely professional, guiding us seamlessly through our schedule, itinerary options, lodge choices, and payment process. Upon our arrival in Kenya, she gave us a warm welcome and a thorough briefing before setting off on our 5-day tour.
Out on safari, our tour guide and driver, Mr. Khalifa Abdullah, was simply superb—quite frankly one of the best safari guides in Kenya! He knows the Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru National Park like the back of his hand. Beyond his extraordinary eye for spotting wildlife, we were deeply impressed by his encyclopedic knowledge of animal species, their unique behaviors, and their natural habitats. He also enriched our journey with fascinating insights into the geology of the Rift Valley, the natural history of the parks, and the broader history of Kenya and East Africa.
Thanks to his expertise, we enjoyed multiple sightings of leopards, cheetahs, elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, vultures, hyenas, ostriches, hippos, and rhinos—along with witnessing a live kill as a pride of lions took down a wildebeest. With his deep understanding of the Mara and expert sense of timing, he placed us in the perfect spot to watch a live river crossing of wildebeests and zebras making their journey from Tanzania into Kenya.
It was a trip of a lifetime, and we cannot recommend Axis Africa Safaris enough!

Great experience
Good communication; quick response and clear information.
We had the best driver; James. Knew a lot about all the animals and the area. Took time to explain and answer questions and did everything to give us the best safari experience and show us as many different animals as possible. Lunch was also great, lovely people and good food.
Don’t hesitate; book this trip! It is worth the money.

We had a wonderful safari/beach holiday organised by Jamlan. We had a private tour for four of us. Teddy responded quickly to any queries we had and the transfers and accommodation they organised were great. Our guide, John was just fantastic…knew so much about the wildlife and culture. Very good
Johnny is a truly professional, 100-point tour guide! He has an amazing talent for spotting wildlife. We even got to watch lions eating breakfast, and the lion cubs were right outside our window. Plus, he speaks fluent Chinese!

Before our trip, we had a video call with Enrico, the organizer, who patiently answered all our questions and explained every detail of the itinerary and logistics. His professionalism, availability, and attention to detail immediately gave us confidence that we had chosen the right company—and he was absolutely right.
Our 4-day safari was simply incredible: two unforgettable days in the Serengeti, one day exploring the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, and one day in the beautiful Tarangire National Park. Every day brought spectacular wildlife encounters, stunning landscapes, and memories that will stay with us forever.
What truly made this experience exceptional, however, was our amazing guide, Clement, and our outstanding driver, John. Clement's knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm made every game drive fascinating. He always took the time to explain the animals' behavior, the ecosystem, and the local culture, turning every sighting into a unique learning experience.
John was an exceptional driver. His experience, patience, and incredible ability to spot wildlife ensured that we never missed a special moment. He always positioned the vehicle perfectly, giving us the best possible views and amazing photo opportunities, while making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire safari.
Thanks to Clement and John, we were fortunate enough to see the Big Five and so many other incredible animals. Their teamwork, professionalism, and genuine dedication made every day unforgettable. They didn't just guide us through the parks—they created an experience that far exceeded anything we had imagined.

Excellent, well organised and great value
We only had 1 issue, and that was paying the deposit for the booking, and that’s more to do with Tanzanian IT / payment systems I think as we had similar issues getting our visas! It took several attempts to make it work and of course you start having doubts and then double-checking that you’ve not paid twice - but in the end it was all good.
The communications were excellent and arrangements to collect us from our hotel in Zanzibar, take us to the airport for the flight to Arusha and be collected by our Safari guide were all flawless.
Our guide Abdul was brilliant - giving us information about the local area on the way to the national park and answering any and all questions we had - about the area, the wildlife , the locals, the motorbikes - anything!
The jeep - a Toyota Landcruiser Safari truck was excellent and capable of going absolutely anywhere needed on the Safari. We managed to see almost everything (no cheetah and the leopard was too far away to get a good picture) but that’s the luck of the draw when on safari.
We had lunch provided every day and would stop at picnic sites for a break and this was very nice.
Our 2.5 day safari went to Tarangire Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara with 2 nights hotel near Ngorongoro.
