We had a problem with our flight and ended up arriving in Arusha about six hours late. To be clear, this had nothing to do with Suricata—it was entirely due to the airline. Because of the delay, we missed our first day of safari in Tarangire and went straight to the Suricata Boma Lodge. This hotel is magnificent. We would definitely have stayed an extra day just to enjoy its facilities and the stunning view.
On the second and third days, we did the safari in the Serengeti. It was an incredible experience. We saw many animals and were lucky to be near a group of lions just as it started to rain. Watching how they behaved in that moment was fascinating.
The accommodations, both at Bush Tembo Camp and Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp, were excellent—very comfortable, with delicious food right in the heart of the savannah.
On the last day, we visited the Ngorongoro Crater. It was a foggy and overcast day, which made the descent into the crater feel even more dramatic. Truly unforgettable.
We didn’t manage to spot the Rhinoceros or the Leopard from the Big Five, but that’s just how nature is sometimes.
By the way, the SG Premium Resort, which served as our base in Arusha, is also an excellent hotel.
One important tip: we highly recommend arriving in Arusha at least one day before your safari starts. The local airlines in Tanzania can be quite unreliable, and delays like ours are not uncommon. Better to be safe and start your adventure stress-free!

Right from the start of our collaboration. Silas and Robert were instrumental in providing straight forward communication and details of our trip. Our 10 day safari was unique and tailored to us. This was uplifting as it was our 34rd wedding anniversary.
Our driver Edward was amazing. Edwards laughter, knowledge and great skills as a guide made for us to see all the animals on our list. The trip was well put together and our guide Edward put it over the top.
As mentioned the complete team of Ro Scavenger was amazing. We highly recommend the company for any tours. We will be back within 2 years and we will again be with Ro Scavenger.

We cannot say enough good things about Pallid Safaris and the effort they put into making sure our once in a lifetime Kenya safari experience was everything we hoped it would be.
Carolyn ensured every detail was planned flawlessly and was there for us from booking, to arrival, and throughout, even stopping by our hotel at the end to make sure we were all good.
Simon, our best ever guide/driver was kind, thoughtful, effective and demonstrated every day our safety and enjoyment were his top priority.
The accommodations were excellent.
The food was top notch.
And the experience getting to see so many incredible animals and breathtaking scenery was far better than we even imagined.
