I had a great safari. The guides were very kind and had a big knowledge about the animals.
It was my first safari, so I didn't really have any expectations, so for me everything was new and exciting. The guides was good at English so they were easy to communicate with, and the were very focused on our (the clients) wishes and our wellbeing. So, I had a great safari were I saw all the animals I dreamed of seeing.

Clive Murray assisted me with my booking and was very helpful. I am happy with the deal I received as my stay was enjoyable and worth the money I spend. The only thing that went wrong was when we arrived at Bongani Mountain lodge there was no shuttle to pick us up to take us to the lodge. We were informed that pick ups were at 12:00, 13:00 and 15:00. We arrived at 14:50 to be told we were suppose to advise Bongani mountain lodge what time we would arrive so they can organize the pick up. This was not told to me so we ended up waiting about 40 minutes for the transfer to come and collect us. Other than that everything went well.

21st December till 29th December we did a ‘safari’ that was organised by Zohar Safari Tours. It was a very well organised trip. The lodges were very good and comfortable, the guide was very nice and knew a lot about the animals and the area, the timeschedule was very good so we saw a lot and learned a lot about Tanzania and its wildlife. If anybody wants to make a trip to the national parks of Tanzania we would recommend Zohar Safari Tours to do the organisation. They listened to what we wanted but also advised us where to go or not.
It was a wonderful holiday!!!!!!!!!!

Well organized, friendly guide and beautiful way to see Kenya
My sister and I booked a personalized 4 night 5 day tour with To Go Kenya. The booking process was easy with all of our questions being answered promptly, allowing us to plan the tour exactly the way we wanted to see it. The only complain was the payment process, as it would have been nice to be able to pay via pay pal or another free service instead of paying extra for a wire transfer.
The tour itself was exactly as we expected. The guide, Mutemi, was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about Kenya(history, animals, vegetation). On the safaris he was very respectful to the time we wanted to spend watching all of the animals and taking pictures of them. His driving on the-less-than-ideal Kenyan roads always felt safe and he clearly tried to make the ride as smooth and fast as possible. The accommodations we stayed in were beautiful and well chosen and the meals were always delicious (with lots of vegetarian options). A great option for your Kenya tour needs! Would definitely book with them again.

An awesome safari to Kruger and Sabi Sands
Just got back after an amazing 3 night stay at Tydon Safari's luxury tented camp, where we did 2 game drives to Kruger and 3 to Sabi Sands. The accommodation, staff and the quality of the game drives (in terms of what we saw and knowledge of the guides) was first class. The food was also very good.
The only slight criticism I have is regarding the arrangements for the pick up from my hotel in Sandton (Jo'burg), since I had to chase the agent for these. Indeed, once I had paid my final instalment, there was very little contact from the agent regarding travel arrangements etc.

The service was great, we ve been communicating a lot prior to my arrival and during the trip Emmanuel was accompanying me thought the whole trip. Despite some unpredicted situations, we found always solutions. He gave me lots care and surprise, a great experience overall. If communication in some way can be more clear and transparent it would be even greater !

I have never seen a lot of animals like what I saw in the Safari. It was awesome.
The Safari was very nice. We got to see a lot of animals and it was worth it. The only problem that we experience was the tent and the food. The tent water did not go down after bathing. We also had bowel movement problems after eating the Chicken in Maasai Mara. I think the Chicken was not refrigerated. The best food to serve is Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches or Vegetarian food if there is no refrigerator. Food in the evenings was very good though because it was served hot. Overall we enjoyed the Safari and we got to see plenty of animals. All our friends are envious. Everyone wants to see our pictures. Richard was a very good driver and we enjoyed having him us our driver. we will definitely recommend Karibu Safari.

Absolutely worth the visit.
We crammed a lot into three days in Kruger.Even though it was coming into Autumn, it was still very hot but with the luxury of some cloud cover. The scenery is bland but what amazed me was the ease at which many animals of different colours can blend into the background. We were pleased to see most of the big 5, only missing out on the Leopard.To be up close to such wild magnificent animals was truly amazing.Also for me the birds we saw were beautiful and varied.
The accommodation was perfect and the staff were very helpful.We could not fault anything except maybe the flying beetles which can drop in(literally) during dinner while dining al fresco.

I'm Simon, a guide and photographer. I have spent three months working and being on holiday in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. During these three months I was able to discover quite a large part of the park. I have slept in most of the rest camps, ate in most of the restaurants in the rest camps and travelled on most of the roads in the park.
There are a lot of Safari companies that will do guided drives in the park, in general most of those companies are well organised and if you wish to learn about the different aspects of the park ( animals, birds, history, trees, etc...) I would recommend to go on one of the drives. You can find plenty of those companies on google.
A great thing about Kruger is that you're also able to go in the park with your own car. Go where you want ( on tar roads or dirt roads), look at what you want for as much time as you want and sleep in the different rest camps. The rest camps offer basic but very good accommodation at a reasonable price, depending on which accommodation you book you will have a kitchen, each camp also has a shop where you can buy food. If you don't want to cook, each camp also has a restaurant that has very nice menus. All the camps have fuel stations and most camps also have communal swimming pools and organise bush walks, bush dinners and drives (morning, afternoon and evening) which are not expensive and where you can learn and discover new things.
Wildlife is plentiful in the park, you will easily and closely see general game including Elephants and Buffalos. There are also plenty of cats in the park, however you don't always have sightings of them next to the road. If you spent several days in the park though you will usually, at least have some nice sightings of cats. Same for Wild dogs and other rare game.
There is also a wide variety of birds in the park ( around 517 species), there are several bird hides throughout the park where you can go to observe them in peace and quietness.
The park has several historical sites and you can buy books in the shops that will explain the history of those sites.
As I said earlier, every rest camp has a shop where you can buy food, drinks,general utilities and a lot of books (maps of the park, books on the birds, animals, fiction, history, photography, true stories of the park, etc...)
If you like landscapes you will also enjoy every moment in Kruger, there are 5 different biomes. There are also plenty of view points in the park where you can get out of your car and enjoy the panorama.
If you drive by yourself you can choose to either drive on the tar roads or the dirt roads. Usually there will be less people on the dirt roads but you travel more slowly and for some dirt roads you need a decent car, it is also quite dusty. As far as wildlife goes, dirt road or tar road there is no road where you will see more animals, it is all luck!
If you drive by yourself, international visitors will pay 280 Rand as conservation fee per day, South Africans 70 Rand (because they already pay conservation fees in their taxes) at the entry gates of the park or the rest camps if you sleepover. However if you plan on staying several days it might be interesting to buy yourself a Wildcard, which will give you access to all South African National Parks for 1 year. For international visitors it costs 1920 Rand and for South Africans 470 Rand, there are several other options which you can ask for at the Kruger gates.
All in all if you plan on visiting South Africa I would really recommend you visiting the Kruger National Park, it is something you just can't miss!
