Ken stole our money
Hakuna Matata Safaris is run by the same people who run Congo Discovery Safaris. A quick look at their recent reviews makes it evident that this is not a company or group of people you want to trust. Below is my review on Congo Discovery Safaris. I can tell you that I have had already multiple people reach out to me asking about my review because when they asked Ken about it Ken made up some sort of excuse. Ken told someone that I wrote a bad review because I originally booked a Congo Gorilla trek and then demanded it be changed to Uganda when we arrived. I have also heard it didn't happen because of ebola. Both of these are lies. If anyone wants evidence I am happy to share both my WhatsApp chat history and also a video confession from Ken that states what he did not provide us, as well as the money he owes us. My girlfriend and I booked a 4-day Gorilla and Chimpanzee safari with Ken that was supposed to take place from November 10 – 13. We paid $2608USD upfront for the pair of us for this tour. Ken failed to deliver all aspects of this tour. We were supposed to receive a refund in person in Kigali on November 13, but Ken showed up with no money. He then promised to refund us by November 20, but there was nothing. On November 27 we were supposed to get a full refund, instead we received a partial refund of $570CAD (we live in Canada), about $430USD, but we are still owed $2178. We were then told December 6 that we would receive the rest of the money, but nothing came.
When we first met Ken in Kigali we had some questions about a few recent negative reviews he had written about his businesses. He had excuses for every one, and how the client was wrong and trying to slander him. We gave him the benefit of the doubt, and we were wrong. Do not book with Ken or any of his tour companies.
He stole money from us, he has waisted countless hours of our time, and he does not take responsibility for any of it - it is always somebody else's fault. Reports regarding Ken and Congo Discovery Safari Company Limited (incorporated in Kampala on September 19, 2018) are being filled with both the Rwandan and Ugandan Tourism boards in hopes that other travelers do not have to endure what we had to endue in dealing with Ken and his company.

An incredible guide on an unforgettable adventure
The tour was amazing! Very experienced tour operator. The driver was beyond excellent, he is very experienced and knew how to take us to all the good spots! He is also very friendly, helpful and kind. The camps are lovely as well and very clean. Very good value for money for this tour.

An incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience with exceptional service and professionalism
My husband and I are just back from an unforgettable 8 day safari with Lion King Adventures. I cannot begin to describe how amazing of an experience it has been. From the highly responsive and informative email communications (thanks Pendo) customizing our trip until the very last day of our departure, they've done an absolutely brilliant job.
With Lion King Adventures we went to Tarangire National Park, Central Serengeti, Southern Serengeti, Ngorongoro Conservation Are/Crater and Lake Manyara National Park, and our superb guide Sally was with us for the entire trip. Sally was the man!!! He is exceptionally experienced and observant. He could read the animals's behavior and react way faster than others in parking at the best observing spot. With the eagle eyes of his, we could never miss anything. In fact, we believe we didn't miss anything: all the big 5's (multiple times), all the big cats, hundreds and thousands of Wildebeest, Gazelles, the gentle giant Giraffes and not to forget countless many beautiful bird species. We absolutely enjoyed being informed about all the animals' names and habits all the time.
The vehicle was in excellent condition and Sally kept it clean at all times, and our lunch boxes were consistently delicious.
We cannot be more grateful to Sally and Pendo and Lion King for making our Tanzanian safari better than we ever imagined it could be! Lion King Adventures is a company that is living up to the standard, who customizes their trips to suit each guest and provides the best service you could possibly ask for. Amazing 4-day safari experience
We were badly let down at short notice by another safari agency so I challenged several safari companies to organise a luxury 4-day safari at 1-days notice. Only Amazing Memories came through for us, turned up on time at our hotel in Nairobi at 6am the very next day and guided us on the most amazing 4 days in the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Our driver 'Tony' was knowledgable, flexible and had the most amazing gift of being able to drive and spot game at the same time. I can thoroughly recommend The Mara Serena and Nakuru Sora game lodges as luxurious and with breathtaking views of the surroundings and wildlife. Overall - nothing to fault. Book with Amazing Memories with confidence. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime.

Amazing!!!
There are not enough words to describe how incredible our trip was, and Soul of Tanzania played a major part in this. Everything was organized perfectly and there was not even 1 minute of delay or a shadow of problem.
Although our international flights issues (due to SAA strike), Soul of Tanzania staff was always available and kind to reacommodate our pick up and hotel reservation in Arusha.
Since the pick up at Kilimanjaro airport, when Hassan (super nice boy!!) took us to Arusha, to the meeting with Beatus giving us a very detailed itinerary explanation, everything was great!
Ally is the most incredible person we met in Tanzania, the best guide we could ask for to share this experience, such a nice and intelligent guy, always with a smile on his face. We loved everything! The game drives were all amazing, the hotels were superb, kuddos to &Beyond Manyara Lake staff, the best we have ever met! Serengeti and Manyara were the best for the animal sights, but Ngorongoro is just the most beautiful and incredible place!
At one point, during the game drives, my friend looked at me and said she was with her jaw hurting from smiling so much LOL. We did have an one of a kind experience with some many animal sights (all the big five and more!). The food was always on point and I am a vegetarian, so they had to go an extra mile here, but everything was always delicious.
Then we had the Zanzibar extension, what a place! We were received by Sully and he was our driver to the last day, always letting us know interesting facts and making us feel so comfortable. Rashid, another amazing guy! He came to the hotel to meet us, helped us choose the best tours and booked everything from the pick up to taking us back to the hotel. In all the tours we made, Rashid was always calling the driver/guide to make sure everything was well and to talk to me to ask how it was, it really made us feel cared and safe all the time. He is so professional, polite and kind!
We were all really impressed with the organization, the kindness and attention, there was literally nothing for us to worry about, besides wake up in time... It did exceed our expectations. I am an Africa lover, I have been in SA, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, but this was the best trip, no doubt!
And it all started with Luis, from Soul of Tanzania giving us all the attention, help and support, as you did. When we were looking for an agency, we chose 2 to get in touch with, and at that point we decided to go with Soul of Tanzania solely because of how Luis attended us.
I really hope to come back and will for sure book Soul of Tanzania again as well as be the strongest advocate here in Brazil, to get my friends and family to do so as well.

Easy experience to seeing some of the most incredible animals in the wild.
Hilary was very communicative. The driver was safe and full of information. The cool made some of the beat food you’ll ever eat camping. And wow, the experience surpassed my expectations. I was able to see the “big 5” and witness the great migration. Just incredible.

Excellent Game Drive, nice vehicle and experienced host
Sam was an excellent tour host, from beginning to end. He has plenty of experience and knowledge especially when it comes to the wildlife.
He has a nice comfortable new vehicle, and offers drinks and small nibble food which is quite fun.
Got to see lots of animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, baboons, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs and lots of birds.
Sam also showed us some beautiful views of the Zambezi river.

"Absolutely amazing expierence"
First of all, we want to thank Isa for giving us the best experience in Botswana. Not only for his knowledge of wildlife, (by the way, it is excellent) but also for how he is. We did 3 days/2nights in Khwai Reserve with him and the experience was better than we can ever imagine. His tracking skills are incredible and he cares about all details, such as finding the best spot to take the photos, answering any information we would like to know, our safety, having a great time…the perfect combination.

A friend of us recommended UBON to plan our honeymoon - what a great advice! Beena has been the best travel agent we’ve worked with. Professional, hard worker and extremely knowledgeable. In the planning she made sure that we were choosing the right destinations, hotels and activities that would fit our expectations. She was very accommodating to our budget and dates. Once off to the adventure, not only she was available 24/7 (and very responsive), but she would check on us after flights/transfers/checking-ins to make sure everything was OK.
