I went to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire in low season. I was afraid that I won’t see lots if animals because it’s rainy season. Turns out the weather is great, just a little bit rain, saw lots of animals, perfect scenes, and saw the Great Migration too! It’s not the dramatic scenes when the animals are crossing the Mara river, but we did see the Great Migration. And we didn’t expect it since the internet is saying the great migration is only in certain months in the dry and ‘high season’. I guess they don’t refer to Serengeti. Turned out it’s a one year cycle and happen most of the time in Tanzania. To choose safari in Serengeti over Masai Mara was a tough decision considering the budget. It’s a blessing for me to finally be in Serengeti. The animals are not yet in Masai Mara on April and I got the chance to see the migration in so called “low season’. If I have this great experience in the low season, I wonder what it will be like in the dry season or ‘high season’. No matter what the season is, Tanzania is always a paradise
