We booked a 5-day Safari Trip with African pangolin safaris. The Trip included 2 days Mikumi NP and 3 days Nyerere NP. It was only the 3 of us with our guide/driver and that was such a good choice. We were very flexible regarding (lunch) breaks while the game drive and the drive from one park to another. The weather was perfect for a safari trip, it was warm like 22-25 °C and sometimes sunny, sometimes cloudy, so very nice to be outside the whole day.
While Mikumi was a perfect start to see a lot of different animals (we were lucky and also saw lions on our first day there) Nyerere was a nice add on to that. In Nyerere there was more variety in the landscape, so more like bush and forests, but also steppes and meadows. Some lakes for crocodiles and hippos were there also. It was a guarantee to see different animals, but less than before because of the number of trees and bushes. If you could see anything it was so close, but thats an amazing feeling.
It was our first safari

Trip, but certainly not the last. We would recommend going there in August. And not to worry about the moskito situation, we bought some moskito repellent in Tanzania for about 2000 Schilling and it lasts way more than 10 days. Furthermore there weren`t that much moskitos and all rooms were sprayed in the evening by the hotel staff.
We completed our holidays by flying to Zanzibar for another 9 days and liked the island as much as the safari.
So in conclusion Tanzania was a great destination for an unforgettable holiday trip.

We were a group of two families and made a round trip in Tanzania: Start at Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Serengeti (central and west) - Ngorongoro Crater - end at Arusha (flight to Zanzibar).
It was an amazing trip! We have been in South Africa, Namibia, Kenia, Eswatini and Lesotho several times before. But Tanzania and especially the Serengeti was the best of all! We saw a lot of lions, cheetahs and a leopard even with their babies - so cute! Our lodges were very nice and good located except our lodge for visiting the Ngorongoro crater. It was outside the crater, what I could not recommend. It was not fare away but it took us hours to go there because of the traffic and the road conditions. We felt always safe. Our tour operator was Roadside Tanzania. Our guide had good connections to other guides so that we always were informed very well about any sightings in the parks!
We finished our trip with a relaxing week in Jambiani at Zanzibar in a small boutique hotel. Overall it was a fantastic journey and we would love to come back!

We did a 7-day safari with African Big Cats Safaris. It was truly a very impactful time in Tanzania. An amazing place full of natural wonders and impactful experiences. We totally loved it all, it’s far too much to try to describe here, just something you have to experience. Endene was a great guide throughout!

I was quite dissapointed of Arusha. The city is a transient hotspot and not at all safe or even nice. Its the gateway to Kilimanjaro and Safaris. The food is really bland and not so good.
