Amazing
This is a bucket list destination and best trip ever. Must look at photos again and again to prove we were there. Our tour guide, Emmanuel from Mambeau was the best! Weather great, scenery great, animal watching great, amenities great... so in short GREAT!

Great safari and wildlife but…
At the same time, poverty is very visible, and understandably there is a strong reliance on tourism for income. Unfortunately, the tipping culture became one of the biggest negatives of our trip.
Tipping was brought up incessantly throughout the trip, sometimes multiple times a day, and it often felt as though every smile, interaction or small gesture came with an expectation of a tip. It gets tiring very quickly and takes away from otherwise genuine interactions.
We tipped very well throughout our trip and have no issue rewarding great service. What we disliked was the constant expectation and pressure surrounding it. We are not American and do not come from a culture where customers are expected to effectively supplement everyone’s wages through tips.

particularly the wildlife and safari, but the tipping culture was exhausting enough that it would make us think twice about returning. Businesses should pay their staff properly and allow tipping to be what it is supposed to be: an optional reward for excellent service, not an expected part of someone’s wage.

What a great safari!! Best ever holder day!
Tanzania did not disappoint! Day 1 we saw the big 5. Day 2 we had seen the ugly 5 and the 9 big. The next 4 days bought amazing experiences seeing large herds of animals and the wildebeest migration. If you want a real safari you need to go to the Serengeti and its surrounding parks and crater! Absolutely fabulous Tour operator and fantastic country!

Amazing wildlife, welcoming people, safe country
Tanzania is an amazing country with abundant wildlife. Nature and scenic beauty is unparalleled. Food was very good and easy to find vegetarian food there. People of the country were so kind and honest and hardworking. We never worried about petty theft or crime. I, as a female, felt totally safe the whole time. The safari guide was so knowledgeable and kind. I loved the trip. I would definitely go back again.

Love Tanzania!
THere is a reason that Tanzania is such a popular destination! I loved being among the wildlife and the wilderness of the country, and my brother climbed Kilimanjaro and loved it. The people were so friendly, and the food was good. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed our Tanzanian safari, and then our beach vacation in Zanzibar afterwards. It was beautiful and calming and I loved being there. The sunsets were immaculate - 10/10 vacation, 10/10 would recommend!

A must for safari lovers
We have been in many other african countries on safaris (South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana) but we felt that we could not miss Tanzania and we were definitively right.
Serengeti NP is super abundant with wildlife in this season and we were lucky enough to see all 4 out of the 5 Big Fives that live there. The rhino is only present in Ngorongoro Crater and luckily we managed to get a couple of them as well. The landscape and nature are gorgeous and worth the visit even if you are not so lucky with animals.
Tarangire, Manyara Lake and Arusha NPs are all different and very interesting for a one day drive. They provide a different nature and habitat wrt Serengeti so they reveal to be very complementary.

and meal services. Nights in camps out in the wild are unforgettable.Last but not least, worth mentioning the one-day hike in Mt Kilimanjaro. It is not a common practice, but if you are not going to spend at least a week hiking to the Kibo peak, it is worth considering the one-day tour that drives you to the Shira Plateau at 3400 mt height. There is an easy 3.7km long walk (100mt elevation gain) that allows you getting to the Shira I camp and enjoy the wonderful view of Mt Kilimanjaro, if you are lucky enough with the weather

Tanzania delivers an unforgettable safari filled with abundant wildlife and the Great Migration.
Visiting Tanzania during the peak month of July is a major investment, but it completely delivers on its promise for wildlife enthusiasts. Catching the Big Five and witnessing the awe-inspiring Great Migration were the main purposes of my trip, and seeing those dramatic river crossings in person made every bit of the planning worthwhile. While July does bring larger crowds and higher tour fees, the payoff in wildlife density is unmatched.
Beyond the animals, Tanzania pleasantly surprised me with its comfort and hospitality. I was initially concerned about logistics and sanitation, but I was relieved to find bidets widely available in the restrooms. The culinary experience was equally impressive: our camp chef prepared fresh, hot, and nutritious meals daily - featuring eggs, oatmeal, fresh vegetables and fruits, and even unexpected treats like pork bacon. Coupled with the genuinely friendly and welcoming nature of the local people, every moment in the field and at camp felt safe, comfortable, and deeply enriching.

see most of what you expect to see. You may see all the "big five" with the exception of rhino. Leopards are less likely to be seen but I was lucky enough to see two. This applies to the National Parks. Outside of these, wildlife is more scarce. Costs vary but you are better off booking safaris with companies from Tanzania on the internet, rather than using companies in your home country who will use the same safari providers but after applying their mark-up.Costs in Tanzania are relatively low but the more westernised the company you use, the more expensive it will be. In larger towns, you'll regularly be approached by locals who adopt the same approach - Hello, where you from? They may then try to sell you something which becomes trying after you've already rejected this approach by ten other people, but it's just a matter of grinning and bearing it.

Loved the Serengeti and saw the big five easily. Ngorongoro crater wasn’t as spectacular as expected (and VERY cold), but maybe we were just unlucky and it was a bad day
