Tanzania is expensive, if you take part on a safari tour, but it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We went with makini tanzania expeditions. They are really good, you can trust. We made a seven-days tour, what means 6 overnight stays. First and last day were in the arusha area, 5 days were in national parks like tarangire, serengeti (2 days), ngorongoro and lake manyara. The game drives lasted von early morning to sun down, exept the time, that was necessary for transfer. Whe had a perfect guide, saw many animals. The cook pepared a meal, which was kept warm and served at noon in picnic places, really good and enough. The accomodation were first class, in serengeti and ngorongoro typical in tented lodge, which also had ervery comfort. In the car it was a bit narrow and the roads were rough. We travelled end of january, the so called small dry season and had perfect weather. You shouhd bring some dollars in cash for tipps. It is also save, to pay the whole safari in cash ($), because you are picked up at the airport, a driver brings you to the hotel and to makini office. We payed by visa card and had to pay about 100 $ fee, which could have been avoided.

The people, culture and wildlife is an amazing experience I recommend.
Unfortunately we had an unethical and neglectful tour operator "All Wheels Experience ' which cause delays and missed experiences we had paid for.

The experience was amazing, we stayed for 2 days in January and we visited the Tarangire and Ngorongoro park.
The weather was perfect, a little bit cloudy so wasn t so hot.
The operators were very friendly, respectful and everything was very well organized. The lunch also was delicious and the accommodation was wonderful.
I really recommend this trip! Worth everything

I would recommend visiting all four parks: Serengeti, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater Conservation and Manyara Lake National Park. It is doable is 4 days, however some parts are quite a long drive. Hence, a day rest in between would have been ideal.
Wildlife was spotted in abundance. We even spotted a leopard and a cheetah, both during daytime! Very lucky.
Also nice to visit the changa tribe in the mountains, where you can learn how to make your own coffee. And eat some local dishes which were amazing. This is also close to the waterfalls called: Materuni falls.

Traveling to Tanzania fulfilled a lifetime dream. We spent two weeks on safari, waking up early every day to fresh rich coffee and breakfast before heading out for a full day of wildlife viewing. We witnessed it all, sometimes just parked watching lions for an hour or more as they lounged about, played, ate. We saw baby elephants wallowing in mud holes, giraffe sauntering by or eating the tops of trees. We visited local villages and met with the most friendly and welcoming people, ate fresh delicious food at every meal, always served with fresh fruit. Our tour operator was Wildfinder Tours and Safaris, and they took care of everything from our first phone call to boarding our plane home. I would not hesitate to go back. As the saying goes, if you can only have two great vacations in your life, go back to Africa.

The trip went beyond my expectations. Tanzania is wonderful — its nature, its people. Unfogettable. I will always carry it in my heart, and I’ll recommend it to anyone. I hope it stays this way.

Thanks to Mountain Warriors we had an amazing 2-day safari.
Well taken care off, all well prepared.
The drivers went up and beyond to give us the experience needed and we seen more than we can process :-)

The respect for nature and wildlife in Tanzania is amazing, the people are so welcoming and so relaxed, feel quite safe as a tourist.
Definitely worth to come back soon!

The very best safari destination in the world bar none!

I have done lots and lots of safaris in the last 50 years to many different African countries but my latest and first trip to Tanzania was the very best ever! Meru Slopes Tours and safaris surpassed my wildest expectations and delivered a top quality 8 day trip which still leaves me in AWE! Lots of Leopards in trees, Cheetahs everywhere, Lions, Elephant and Giraffe in abundance and one pride of Lions had more than 18 together! Marshial, Tawny & Snake Eagles were a big treat, millions of Wilderbeest, Zebra, Eland and other antelope most with new born calves was incomprehendable!! It was wonderful, amazing and spectacular all at the same time.
