Just returned from an amazing 4 day camping Safari in Tanzania. Our guide Mike was lovely, friendly and very professional as well as very informative about all the fabulous wildlife. His driving skills were amazing, going above and beyond to catch the wildlife up close, whilst still maintaining a respectful distance. I saw an abundance of different animals, amongst the most beautiful scenery every day. Food was great, no complaints, though perhaps as an older female will not choose camping again, due to Buffalo outside my tent, scary but its Africa so no problem, but a bit too close for comfort! But that is just my personal preference. This did not take away the wonderful fantastic good memories and lovely pictures. Tanzania take a bow. Loved it all.

My trip to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania was amazing. The views were beautiful and the wildlife was incredible. Seeing a lion in real life was the best part for me. It was a special experience that I will always remember.

Tanzania is a great place to visit. We spent one day in Arusha and 5 days in the wildlife parks. Everyone - starting from the airport pick up driver to the lodge staff was helpful and made us feel welcome. Despite the recent political upheaval, we felt safe.
We were 16 of us and used a local operator -Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris. They proved to be reliable and provided good guides & lodges. I think the Vehicles were okay, but better shock absorbers would have added to the experience . ( It has to be hard to keep them in the best condition with the roads as they are.)
We saw amazing action in the Ngorongoro Crater, including Lions basking in the sun; Zebras socializing- just to name some.
The Serengeti Park was scenic, and I would go back to the Melia Lodge any time! In fact, all the lodges were excellent.
What would I make better ? The roads . I wish they were better pav.d!
Overall, we loved our trip . Great experience to rub shoulders with the Wild !!

My wife and I chose Tanzania for our honeymoon as our first step into exploring Africa after mostly traveling throughout Asia. I’m a filmmaker and she’s a teacher, and after extensive research, we chose Lion King Adventures due to their excellent reviews and reputation.

The most important part of a safari is the guide, and ours, Haruni, made the experience exceptional. He was knowledgeable, honest, and personable, sharing both wildlife expertise and stories from growing up in Tanzania. Thanks to his effort and coordination, we were able to see the Big Five and the Great Migration, which exceeded our expectations. He even introduced us to his hometown and family, which gave us a meaningful cultural experience beyond just the parks.

The safari itself was incredible. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. There are quiet stretches, but then suddenly unforgettable wildlife moments. We drove in a Land Rover with a pop-up
Read more roof, and cruising through the savannah felt like something out of an Indiana Jones film. As a filmmaker, I highly recommend bringing a telephoto camera if you enjoy photography.

The lodging was a mix of tented camps and lodges. Friendship Camp and Moonbow Lodge were excellent and felt special for a honeymoon. One camp during rainy weather lacked hot water, which was uncomfortable, so honeymooners may want to consider luxury-level camps for more consistency.

Communication with Lion King Adventures was good overall, though response times were sometimes slow during the planning stage. They did include a thoughtful honeymoon gesture, which we appreciated.

Our only negative experience was with Olea Farm Lodge, which mishandled drink charges and lacked price transparency. This was frustrating, but it was an isolated issue and not reflective of the overall safari.

Overall, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we felt well taken care of throughout the trip. I would absolutely recommend Lion King Adventures, and especially Haruni, to anyone planning their first safari.

Did a 6/7 day safari with Kilipath African Safari. It felt a bit disorganized as I was moved to a different company on different days. The experience itself was phenomenal though! Well worth visiting different parks as every park is unique. We saw all the major animals! Camping in the seringeti was very comfortable and the budget lodges very very nice and clean too. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience! You can get very close to most animals.

The most amazing combination of wildlife and scenery.

We went during late February and got to see the tail end of the Great Migration in the Serengeti. There were a ton of baby animals, and huge herds of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. The weather was perfect outside of a couple late evening rainstorms. We managed to see the Big 5. There weren't a ton of vehicles in the parks and there were plenty of times where we were the only car in the area. Id highly recommend Tanzania and the January to February months for the Migration.
