Me and my family (wife and kids 13 and 10 yo) travelled with Soul of Tanzania and spent four days in Ngorongoro, central Serengeti and Lake Manyara. We had an amazing few days with our guide Gabriel, who was very knowledgeable, a good communicator and great at spotting rare wildlife. We saw nine leopards and three cheetahs in Serengeti for example, which is above and beyond anything we have experienced at other African safaris. Our top experience was a balloon safari over Serengeti at sunrise. If you get the opportunity, I strongly recommend it!

We visited Tanzania in October 2022, and we loved it. The people were friendly and our Savannah Explorers driver/guide was fantastic. A lovely, knowledgeable man who did everything he could to make our visit a success.
It’s an amazing country with wildlife in abundance, huge numbers of healthy happy animals, beautiful birds and lovely people. We travelled to 4 different parks, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, The Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater.
We then moved to Zanzibar for 10 days, which wasn’t the perfect paradise island I anticipated, built up and heavily populated. However, our hotel was lovely Double Tree Hilton, and the people very welcoming.
I have told all our friends this is the country to go to for Safaris, and I can say this with all honesty, it’s a fantastic place to visit and we loved it

We went to Tanzania for our honeymoon. This country is magnificent, it is paradise on earth. Tanzanians are very welcoming and smiling. In October the air and water temperature is just perfect.

Visited in October with Savannah Explorer and it was amazing to see the animals in their natural surroundings. About 2 to 2 hours drive to each national park and the public toilets were nice and clean. Be prepared for a bumpy ride as the roads can be quite rough. We managed to witness the Wilderbeest migration. The accommodation provided were nice and comfortable and the staff looked after you well. Tanzania is rich in culture and they made you feel welcoming.

Spent time in the national parks on safari. Saw lots of animals up close including lions, leopards and cheetahs. Very fantastic experience. Plus our guide , Lemomo, was very knowledgable, and the other people at Safari Z went out of their way to help us. Stay in the parks if you can. Hear the animals prowling at night. Staff at the lodges also added to the experience. We both would recommend the trip.

We went with Roadside Tanzania tour operator on 3day safari to Ngorongoro, Tarangire and lake Manyara. Our tour guide Ezekhiel spoke very well English, his driving skills were exquisite, friendly and easygoing person. Our accommodation was very nice, quiet and comfortable place with really good food and beautiful garden. 3 days might be a little too much if you don't have a lot of energy to drive for hours in the heat on bumpy roads, and personally I would skip lake Manyara if I were to choose again (don't get me wrong it is also really nice). Ngorongoro is an absolute must-see. We did not see only cheetah and rhino but these are very rare so don't have high hopes. Overall definitely money well spent. If you are also planning to go to Zanzibar, we highly discourage you to book hotels in Kendwa / Nungwi region. The beach hustlers are impossible there - absolutely zero relax on the beach. They swarm you and never just let you sit in peace. Same if you go to eat something in the village. Paje and Matemwe was a lot better and much more scenic. Amazing low-tides. But again people at Paje beach were also annoying, especially when they try to sell you drugs which is encountered daily. We have stayed on Zanzibar for 2 weeks and I would cut that to 1 week maximum, probably choosing Paje for 5 days and Stone Town for 2. If you like kitesurfing, you can stay longer - perfect conditions there, but it is really expensive also.

We booked our Tanzania Safari trip with Paradise & Wilderness Group and Anouk; our consultant planned a dream trip for us. We had a 13-night, 12-day trip mainly focusing on the Northen circuit. Anouk catered to all our wishes and was awesome when it came to changes to the set itinerary. She was always there for us until the day of our trip, advising us and emailing us with all possible do´s and don´ts and reminding us of all the contact numbers etc. There were so many highlights it is hard to know where to start. There was our stay at Lake Natron, in a desert surrounded by volcanos, and with a sunrise walk with a Massai guide, over the salt-caked mudflats to photograph flamingos. The safari drives were punctuated by new, breath-taking wildlife sightings every few minutes, including so many lions that after 50 we lost count. A cheetah sighting by our Massai guide led to a day-long pursuit, ending in a spectacular Zebra kill. Mating lions and elephant filled our camera lenses to bursting point. Ngorongoro crater presented us with a Lost World of countless animals, enclosed in a 10km wide primaeval caldera. Here we chased black Rhino, but never came closer that a few hundred meters. There were the dusty drives through other-worldly landscapes of endless acacia trees and baobabs, punctuated by sightings of brightly dressed Massai tending their herds, carrying water over endless long miles, selling precious honey by the roadside, and children waving frantically, and enthusiastically practising their English. Our stay in the lodges presented us with hyenas calling in the dark night, directly outside our tent, water buffalo lurking, giraffe wandering unconcerned a few meters away and streams of baboons, young and old. All Africa Safari lodges were amazing, but especially Lake Natron and Ikhoma lodges were wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and supportive, and all comforts were taken care off. There is not a single moment or experience we regret, the holiday has been just wonderful.

Tanzania have it all! not only wild animals/safari but great people, culture & nature!

Tanzania was a great option for the Safari tour! Wild life is rich & diverse, so we were able to see a lot of animals -really close!!- even when we did not go during the "migration season". November was a great month as high season is over and the parks are not full.. you get the chance to appreciate the nature in a more calm way and weather was great (around 23-26 C) and no rain as dry season was longer this year.
I highly recommend to do other "extra activities" to know more about the culture, people and nature. Our Tour operator (Zohar - really good ones!!) offered various activities that they organized with local communities so we were able to "get out of the turistic world" a little bit and enjoy more than the wildlife.
and we felt secure during ALL THE TRIP! not only in side the parks, but the "sense of community" that Tanzania's people have is spread everywhere! We got ONLY GREAT & WARM treat since the arrival to the airport until the end of the trip.

We visited Tanzania in November, and it was a great choice! The weather was great, didn’t experience any rain during our week’s stay (just for few hours in the night). First we went to Ngorongo crater from Arusha, and we saw all the animals living there, including giraffes outside the crater, except the rhino! Temperature was really pleasant. After that we went to Zanzibar where we didn’t experience any rain again, temperatures were great. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

There is no other country in Africa that is this inviting and beautiful

I did the safari in Nyerere National Park. Long day, bumpy roads (African massage), but amazing. A lot of wildlife, was sad not to seen any rhinos. The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about the both the flora and the fauna that surrounded us. If you're an American, be prepared to be surrounded by Europeans. I was travelling alone and in my truck there were 4 Russians and 2 Germans. Needless to say, there was not a lot of cross communication.
If you go to Tanzania, you have to go to Zanzibar. Amazing architecture, the spice market, great hotels and restaurants, and very welcoming people. If you are brave enough, take a motorcycle taxi. They all speak English and are good riders. Much faster than a dalladalla (local bus).
I will return - best country in Africa.
