Magic scenery, amazing wildlife, unique experience, but the car broke 3 times...

4/5

The scenery and the experience was one in a lifetime.
The guide (driver) was very nice, took us to the good spots and we managed to see amazing wildlife.
The cook we had with us was also great and ate some delicious food.
Unfortunately the car was very old and let us down multiple times.
Overall the experience is something I strongly recommend but I counln'd leave out that the car gave us troubles.

A proper adventure you will never forget

We had an amazing 4 days safari trip to Tarengire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks. We saw the big 5 and so many animals. The trip we did was the budget one so the accomodation was not so good. Expect lots of insects and I mean Lots of insects of all kinds. The camp in Serengeti was the worst as the place we had to eat was dirty and dark with rats running around. There were hyenas running around the tents at night and no fence around the camp site to keep animals away, so that was very scary to experience. The sleeping bags that were given were smelly and one of the girls tents didnt hold the rain out so all her stuff got wet. I would recommend bringing your own sleeping bag. The camp in Ngorongoro (Simba camp) was much better. The place we had to eat was clean and indoor, plus there was hot shower and wifi. Again we saw hyenas right next to us and a big buffalo right outside our tent. So if you like sleeping a bit rough and like to take risks by being around predators at night like lions and hyenas without any protection then go for it. Else i would recommend going for staying in lodges with a fence and security around at night. Lets just say Im happy i didnt read about some of the attacts thats happened on tourists before i went on the trip. In any case its definitely an adventure worth experiencing and I will never forget the sight of 1 million wildebeasts and all of the beautiful animals and scenary. Our guide was really nice and he did so well driving so many hours, however if he could improve on something it would be to tell a bit more to everyone in the car about the animals and what we were seeing, I had to ask many questions to get the info instead of him telling himself. So only if you sat in the front you could hear. Maybe a microphone or speaking up could help.

Wildlife in Tanzania is overwhelming. Weather was not that good, with floods and long power cuts. Accommodations quite good, not so the lunch boxes during the Safari. Same food for six days. Transportation and guide excellent. It was worth it overall.

We (a group of nine) went to Tanzania to see wildlife. And we had no disappiontments. There are lots of animals and birds to see. The national parks are huge, the rules are strict to protect the wildlife and those are well followed. The cars must follow the routes and one cannot step outside the cars. But there is lots of rest places so after two or three hours drives one can go outside the cars. The scenery is fine and in Serengeti the flat and wide scenery is just astonishing at least by European standards. Because Serengeti, Ngorongoro etc are so high the weather is warm but not hot. The rain did not bother us because mainly one is inside a car. At least for us the accommodations and the food were very good. We had a midrange safari. Our guides were good picking us the animals and birds and we had a locally owned company which was very good. Tanzania is a poor country and by that way the all our money stays there. But it is in rise and at least the safaris are very good. The tourists must respect the animals and that was well done. First the animals and then the tourists and by that way both wins.

Everything was better than expected.
We opted for a budget safari experience and had relatively low expectations. Everything went amazingly well. Pick up and drop off was good, guide was knowledgable, accomodation was good, food was good. All staff we dealt with were friendly and enthusiastic. Fab experience .

Definetely worth to go in november, it is not so crowdy there are plenty of animals and big five too. I was impressed by the travel servis, they are soo helpfull and caring. Weather was just perfect, no rain at all. Prepare yourself for long hours in the car, the roads are bumpy. I highly recomend to take binoculars to admire sleeping cheetah on the branch or birds from long distans.

The overall trip went very well, it was well organised and we met really nice people! The food was very good. We would have loved to feel more enthusiasm and receive more information from our guide.

My wife Fei and I went to Tanzania at end of August till Mid of September.

First, We Climbed the Kilimanjaro mountain using Lemosho Route 8 days. The weather on these days are good, no rain at all. We live in the tents and has our own private toilet. we can see the monkey in Low attitute area. Both Romly and Dennis are very Professional. The porters, the waiter and cook are all nice and helpful. I will suggest to other people climbing the mountain with Romly and Dennis team. I carry nothing during the summit day, two guides carried every part of my equipment and water ect. without them it will be nealy imposibble to get to the Uhuru Peak. The suggested tip is around 300 till 400USD per trip. I thought it is really small amount for 13 people team to share, I decide to tip them more for hard working. The Summit day is really hard, We left around 11:30PM and made to the top Uhuru Peak around 6:45AM.

Second, the safari. Jerry is profesional guide. Savannah explorer arrange everything really well. The Hotel we live is really good. The weather in September is dry season, no rain at all. We saw the Lions, Leopard, Servals, hippos. we live in Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha, quite nice hotel to live. We live in Maramboi Tented camp, nice hotel and the View at Swimming pool area at sunset area is really really nice. For the middle Serengeti, We live in Four season Hotel. it is a must stay hotel for us. The elephant came every day to drink water at swimming pool area is a life time memory. For the northern Serengeti, We live Kenzeni Luxury Camp. The staff there is good and helpful. The wildbreast crossing the Mara river in Northern Serengeti is also a life time memory for us. We also live two nignts at the Retreat at Ngorongoro. it is a nice hotel with beautiful Garden.

Overall, Savannah Explorer arrange the trip really well. I contacted 3 companies via safaribooking. The other two companies are good, but Albert in Savannah Explorer is better. He reply the email quick and I can get every informaion I need from his reply. The Jeep in Safari is nice, and Jerry clean the Jeep everyday.
