We had a very memorable experience with EarthLife expeditions. Right for being picked up from the airport to the drop it was very efficiently charted out.The whole trip could not have been so memorable without both our guides Mr.Joseph and Mr.Abu.The camp sites were also very clean and served us very good food.

The trip exceeded all expectations; it was amazing!

Everything was better than we expected, and we expected a lot. We loved every minute. From the very beginning, our guide and driver, Joseph, was wonderful. His knowledge of the flora, fauna, and history of the park, Selous, was unbelievable. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable, he was funny, confident, and great company. We saw so many more animals than we expected, and with Joseph’s knowledge, we learned so much. The accommodation, food, and service were spectacular. We had no idea how much we would bond with our driver and guide in such a short time. We are so glad we chose a small Tanzanian company. My luggage did not make the trip, but Joseph, with Raja’s help, made that less stressful. I got my bag when we got to Ruaha, with the help of Joseph, Raja, and our guides in Ruaha. They went above and beyond what they had to do.

We had a lovely flight to Ruaha. Our guide and driver met us at the landing strip, and we immediately started on a game drive. Although we missed Joseph, our previous driver and guide so much, we soon became comfortable with our new guide, Jovin, and the driver and tracker, Mkonda. Seeing so many animals living the way they should was emotionally intense. The guides were so incredibly skilled at spotting animals and explaining details about how they lived. We also loved the walking Safari with the armed park rangers.

Every day was an adventure, and when we returned to our lodges, both in Selous and Ruaha, we were welcomed by the wonderful staff, and had wonderful meals and service. The sleeping quarters were beautiful and clean, and we were overwhelmed by the warm service we received.

In addition to the amazing flora and fauna we witnessed, the night skies were amazing.

We flew to Zanzibar for our last 3 days and loved that, too. We went snorkeling, visited Stone Town, and a spice plantation.

Raja really took care of every detail. We were thrilled and would recommend Raja Tours to anyone who wants a trip of a lifetime!

Tanzania -a country full of adventures

We choosed Tanzania as the country for our safari and exciting beach experience, which turned out to be an excellent choice.
Among the many safari tour operators, we choosed Shemeji and that was a very good. Everything from response time and information to our guide Edward and chef Isak made the experience good. We visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro and enjoyed the different landscapes, all the animals and more.
After safari, Zanzibar (Nungwi) was the place and we really enjoyed it!

Spectacular Wildlife and Birds
Overall rating
4/5

We spent 2 days in Tarangire, 4 days in Serengeti and a day in Ngorongoro Crater. We went with Soul of Tanzania as they had been the most responsive and patient with our queries. Our guide Huruma was fantastic with amazing eyesight. He spotted a lot of wildlife for us including birds. Counted over 50 new birds on this trip. We also managed to witness the Wilderbeests crossing. Being an avid birder, this was a great plus. Soul of Tanzania were very efficient in solving our problems. We were however, disappointed with Nimali Camp at Tarangire as they put us in tent 9 which did not have enough power for a hair dryer. We were supposed to go for a night drive but we cancelled it as the lodge manager asked us to use a hair dryer in his office! Imagine showering in your tent late after a game drive and having to get changed and walk to the office to get your hair done! The power at Nimali also tripped when we plugged in our devices to charge. Tents 1-8 had enough power for a hair dryer. The lodge manager should have put us in one of the other tents as none of the other guests was going for a night drive. Really no common sense! Our other lodges, Chaka Kiowa and Chaka Camp were good with Kiowa having slightly better service. Ngorongoro Garmhouse was fabulous with a good spread of food at meals. The only negative feedback is that they didn’t provide tissue paper. Sanctuary Ngorongoro tent is one of the 5 inside the Ngorongoro Crater and they were just fabulous. They even had hot water put into the tank in the morning so that we didn’t have to wash our faces in freezing water. African Tulip where we stayed for the front and back end of our tour was good.

Being immersed in Nature: a surreal experience defying expectations

Stunning scenery, access to all wild nature and an enthusiastic knowledgeable driver / guide made the whole experience unforgettable.
Highlights such as “fights” between teenage elephants, lionesses surveying migrating zebras and crocs submerged in the water lurking for their moment to strike were vintage as was the hospitality offered while glamp-ing in the wild.
Masai villages, probably unchanged in the last 20,000 years were a point of serious reflection as the realisation that Serengeti was once part of the Lake Victoria before it dried up.

We made a 8 day camping safari visiting Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro-Krater, Serengeti and Lake Natron.
Each park is very special, beautiful and absolut worth a visit.
We made many safaris before but Tanzania, especially Ngorongoro and the Serengeti are the best places for wildlife, and the big cats.
The camping was a very good experience, and the food our cook served us each day was very good.
Our guide was very good and well connected with guides so we could see many interesting things.
Visiting the Serengeti was a dream of me and it was eben bettet than i could imagine.

A wild adventure through the bush.

My friend and I did the 10 day Bush to Beach semi luxury itinerary with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions, and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. It started with the friendly and prompt email communication with Paul, which is why we decide to book with his company. He was flexible and attentive, working with us to create an itinerary that met our desires. We were picked up from the airport by our driver, Ezekiel, who we enjoyed talking to, both answering and asking questions, on the hour long ride to Arusha. Ezekiel and Paul met with us to explain our itinerary over dinner our first night so we would know what to expect and to answer any questions we had. Ezekiel was a highly informative and helpful guide with a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed getting to know him over the course of the week and learning from him. Thanks to him we saw the Big 5, along with so many other amazing animals. There is no way we would have been able to see what we saw without him. He put us in the right positions to get AMAZING photographs! He even taught us some Swahili! When it was time for us to head to Zanzibar, we were so sad to say goodbye to Ezekiel, and we hope to go back and climb Kilimanjaro with him in the future!

Before describing our experience in Zanibar, I should say that we were more than impressed with the accommodation we stayed in throughout our safari experience. We wish we had more time to enjoy some of the amazing amenities the hotels offered, although we would never have given up the time we spent in the bush (we highly recommend getting up before the sun- the animals are far more active in the early morning). The food was stellar in all locations, consisting of many options, some of our favorites being the barbecued meats and curries served with ugali, as well as delicious fresh fruits.

Zanzibar was also an awesome experience. We highly recommend the Spice Farm excursion and wandering around Stone Town to see the beautiful doorways. Also, don't miss the Zanzibar pizza at the night market! We really enjoyed the beautiful and relaxing time at the beach in Ngunwi.

So overall, we had the most amazing time and could not recommend this company more highly!!!

Wildlife at its best
Overall rating

This was my first time going on a safari with two of my other friends, and we were very happy we picked Tanzania to go visit!

It was fairly easy to get to Tanzania via airplane (flew TLV>ADD>KJO) from the US. Weather in July was perfect- not too hot in the shade (pants were OK), but still very sunny. The drives between parks were no more than 4 hours, meaning the majority of our time was spent looking for wildlife on safari! All of the parks we visited were well preserved, but it was still possible to see wildlife fairly close from the car! The guides are all very knowledgeable about the animals (as many of them have had to go to school to become a guide) and communicate with each other to ensure that you'll be able to see any animals you're hoping to catch on your trip. Accommodations were all very good, and the service at each place was amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Our favorite park was definitely the Serengeti. Due to it's size, you're able to see both wet and dry environments, meaning you can see a variety of animals. Often times when we were driving around, it felt like we were the only tours out on the road- this made for some great photos as well.

Overall, loved our visit to Tanzania and already hoping to go back again sometime in the future!

This safari was a wildlife experience of a lifetime that I hope to do again.

The safari was simply amazing from start to finish. I was amazed to find out how close the animals would get to the vehicle. We had Elephants while grazing walk right by our safari vehicle. They were so close that I had to switch to my cellphone to be able take pictures. In the video I took I can clear hear the Elephants eating and walking through the long grass.
James and Paul from Tanzania Roadside Expeditions were both excellent. Paul was very helpful making all the arrangements for our safari. Paul also came to meet us at our hotel after the Safari to make sure our experience had been good. Our guide James was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a safe driver.

Tanzania was a great introduction to Africa and Safaris. I will be back again soon I’m sure.
