Reliable
I'm a former Peace Crops volunteer (in Asia), and was referred to Jon by other volunteers in Uganda who had used him for friends family. Easy to trust people with these experiences. Jon was great. Always punctual, safe, and gave us good advice or suggestions when asked. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I liked knowing I could count on a prompt and helpful response from Ute.
This trip was initially scheduled pre COVID. Ute was very helpful in rebooking our trip several times. The camps in Chobe and Okavango Delta were both very nice. The staff at both camps were very accommodating and went great to work with. Our guides were knowledgable and wanted to make sure we found the animals we wanted to see. It was a great trip and a good value for the money. Overall we were very pleased with our trip.

A brilliant safari experience with Wakanda Tours
We had a fantastic all-round experience with Wakanda Tours to Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. The trip was well organised by Bartho who provided excellent advice and efficient support for our itinerary including airport transfers.
Our driver guide, Andrew and chef, Ashraf, were brilliant throughout, working as a team to ensure our enjoyment of the trip. Andrew grew up in the Serengeti and therefore had extensive knowledge of the areas around the park, which meant that he could venture into more remote areas without getting lost ! Thanks to Andrew’s detailed knowledge of animal behaviour and intuitive driving skills we witnessed some amazing moments of wildlife action. It was a pleasure to feel Andrew’s passion for the wildlife. He was always happy to explain things and we were fascinated by his numerous wildlife experiences and also his personal journey. He showed great professionalism with skilful driving and incredible ability to spot wildlife from afar.
Ashraf cooked us 3 delicious freshly cooked meals everyday. The freshly baked bread, tasty soups, desserts and various main courses were just brilliant. His infectious smile and the pride he took in his cooking was very special. Thank you Ashraf for the wonderful food ! It was well above our expectations for the cost of the trip !
Top Tips:
1. The Serengeti was just incredible. It’s a long drive from Arusha so I would advise at least 2 to 3 days there to maximise game viewing, even it means missing out on Tarangire/lake Manyara. One night and one day is simply not enough to witness the true magnificence of the Serengeti, particularly after a long road journey there and back.
2. The spectacular Ngorongoro crater is another highlight not to be missed. An overnight camp/lodge with 1 day in the crater is sufficient. Make sure you have a swift breakfast and get to the crater gate entrance as early as possible (6:30 am). We saw a spectacular sunrise upon descent. Animals are most active in the first thing after sunrise and the cool morning air and golden light was magical to experience, particularly in the crater forest area of the crater where we saw grazing elephants and a lioness with playful cubs. Ngorongoro gets very busy with safari vehicles by 10am and so getting there early meant that we saw wildlife in virtual serenity.
3. Follow your guide’s advice regarding where to go and and leave camp early to improve the chances of seeing the action. We hurried breakfast every day and it was the best decision we made.
4. Don’t raise your expectations of seeing any particular type of wildlife or action. Nature is unpredictable. Being in the right place at the right time depends on being out there when animals are most active, the intuition and skills of your guide and above all, a large dose of luck. Relax, take it as it comes, and expect the unexpected. That includes not seeing everything you had hoped for !
5. Keep a lookout for wildlife from the open top roof. The more eyeballs looking, the more chance that you will spot something that your guide will be able to decide whether to stop and manoeuvre. There were moments where only we could see an animal behind a bush due to a more favourable angle looking towards sides or rear of the vehicle. In one such moment, after spotting a lioness, Andrew sensed potential action and quickly turned around just in time for us to witness a successful hunt. It was amazing to watch !
6. If it is affordable, opt for a private group safari as this gives you much more flexibility, particularly with small changes to the plan that might not be so easy in a mixed group.
Thank you Bartho, Andrew and Ashraf for an unforgettable experience ! We are already planning our next trip with Wakanda to the Serengeti !

Great Safari, great Francis
It was really a great safari. I felt like all things i wished to see, i got it.. specially our guide Francis. We were in safe hands with him. Wheatever we asked him to do for us he was always there. He was also keen on letting us seeing all animals during our safari, which he achieved. Highly recommended..

Well organized
A very complete safari, not only Masai Mara, but also Nakuru and Navaisha (for 30$ extra you take a boat around). We were also lucky to be guided by Boniface, a true expert and an enthusiast of Kenyan fauna who did not hesitate to take us wherever it was necessary to observe the animals of the Masai Mara.
Note: If you pay in euro the will charge you the market exchange to Kenyan chelins

Reliable and friendly.
We planned our trip the day before. Stephen was very communicative with the planning, speaks perfect English and was happy to answer any questions we had.
We altered his original itinerary, which we regretted in the end so I advise to go with his recommendations as he knows best!
We were picked up from Moshi and brought to Arusha for the night, and Steve was kind enough to help us pick up some safari outfits as we wanted a laugh!
We stayed in very nice glamping tents and lodges during our stay, which we were very happy with.
Our recommendation is to skip the north Serengeti and spend more time in the central as you’ll see much more there and save a lot of time driving.
Also, I left my AirPods in the vehicle he hired for the safari and came to help me track them down! What a guy!
Trustworthy, great service and an awesome human!

Impeccable service!
We spent 7 days in 4 different parks in Kenya. The tour was customized by Jocky Tours according to our needs directly from Italy.
The vehicle was fabulous and our driver Jack (aka JJ) super professional, nice and accommodating to some of our requests.
Highly recommended for those who want to live a 360 degree wild experience!

Safari with jeep
Excellent value for money, in total we did 7 days of tour with this agency and we always had the same driver Jack said Jj.
He was really professional and personable throughout the tour.
We did the tour in the tented camps, of course if you are expecting a luxurious tent ask if you want to pay a slight difference for a different solution or a Lodge.
The food offered is good, but as an Italian I found it very repetitive, Kenyan cuisine is good but if you eat chicken with rice or beef with rice for 7 days, you don't have it anymore.
I highly recommend this agency!

Meticulous planning and quick replies made this journey smoother than I thought possible!
There really aren't enough superlatives to describe this trip. Because we didn't have a hand in planning it (our friend who invited us to join them did) we were a little nervous about all the opportunities for problems to arise (i.e., in the many transfers and handovers required to move from place to place, company to company, and country to country.) We needn't have worried one bit. Every step of the way the transfers were perfect; there was ALWAYS someone at the other end waiting for us. If I had any question along the way I could just message our rep (Megan- the best!) and she would clarify in a very timely way.
Every place we stayed was great; every adventure perfectly fitted to us. I would not change a single thing in our entire three week adventure. I write a kind of travel blog and have people follow all my trips. Every one was amazed at the things we did and saw, and many are wanting to follow our path and take this journey themselves. And I encourage them to work with Discover Africa because everything was perfect. I travel a lot and have known my share of travel issues, but I did not have to do anything on this trip but enjoy it. And we enjoyed it immensely!
