We had absolutely the best time in Mikimu. It was mostly because of our guide Davis. He had answer to everything we asked him, made sure we saw as much as we could (and it was a lot). He puts his heart into the job, it’s his passion and that’s why our trip was so special.
Tanzanian scenery is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed our stay in the accommodation as well as food! :)

National parks good, accommodation and catering (for vegetarians) in need of improvement

Rainy October, Saadani NP flooded, therefore alternative route to Selous and Mikumi.
Vehicle in good condition and very suitable for difficult weather conditions, responsible driver. Accommodation in Selous good but food needs to be urgently improved (especially for vegetarians). The non-vegetarians saw it the same way. Accommodation in Mikumi not as planned in the chalet of Camp Bastian, instead in a tent with shower (cold) and external bath on Camp Bastian Ground. Very disappointing!

Soul of Tanzania knocked it out of the park! After reading so many details of the five star reviews (which you can find so we won't repeat), we put together our itinerary with our trip designer José for our northern Tanzania tour. Everyone we met in our accommodations and on our tour were friendly, kind, and welcoming, attending to our every need and question. Special mention first, to our young driver Hassan, who was engaging and informative on our trip to the Materuni Village; we wish him well as a future tour guide. Our tour there was guided by Emmanuel whose patience with our pace on the rainy hike to the waterfall was matched by his enthusiastic demonstration of processing coffee beans from harvest to cup. We enjoyed our active participation in this, too.
Our driver, guide, teacher, and friend, Tony, was a kind and knowledgeable companion for our six day safari. We could not have asked for a better match as he was humorous, patient, thoughtful in his conversation

and eager to attend to our every need. Tony had surprises around activities and information for us every day. His skills made us feel adventurous and better connected to the environment around us with a respectful understanding for the cycle of life. Tony spoiled us with his great service, hot lunches laid out with style, his concern for our well-being, and his ability to find opportunities a little off the beaten track. We would highly recommend Tony as the perfect guide for any age group.
Although I really enjoyed the fact that the Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp had many women working there and it was a beautiful setting with fine dining, our top pick was the Tortilis Serengeti Camp. Godfrey and his staff, especially my Kiswahili teacher Chire (sp) made us feel at home, as if we were old friends. They blended friendly teasing with education and professional attention. Our glamping was luxurious with the sound of lions, hyenas, and water buffalo filling the nighttime; we were safe in the knowledge that our "Maasai Uber" would get us safely from place to place in the evening.
I can’t say enough about the flexibility and professionalism of Soul of Tanzania and I will be recommending them to anyone who is planning their dream safari.

We went on Safari for 3 days with a guide ally. Strongly recommend. We were delighted with the journey. We saw all the animals, bathed in the waterfall. Thanks to Ally for a great Safari in Mikumi Park.

Tour guide was great but was given a different itinerary to what I’d agreed with from the booking company.
So double check with guide before starting the tour.
The accommodation, vehicle and guide were really good , but there was obviously a small disconnect between the tour booking company and the guide company they contacted to.
Also had some issues with the international banking transfers when paying the booking company and we ended up paying an extra $500 AUD than we should have , so be careful with that. The booking company said the transfer hadn’t gone through but our banks said it had. So some robust discussions were had .
However the safari itself was amazing and I’d highly recommend going to see Tanzania.

Our 5 day safari was amazing, we had such a wonderful time visiting Tanzania, which was punctuated with a great guide. The wildlife was amazing from the moment we entered the park gates at Tarangire National Park. Lake Manyara was a bird watchers paradise, although I wouldn't classify ourselves as 'birders'. Our overnight stay in the Serengeti at the Osupuko Tented Camp was our favourite, in the middle of the wilderness. Some days the drives were long, the roads are dusty and bumpy, but the destination was always worth it. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone and Semeji Safari were there throughout our planning stages answering any questions we had and accommodating our requests as best as they could.

My friend and I spent one unforgettable week with Abu from Longway Expedition in the central and north Serengeti last August. I was expecting a lot from this Safari and all my expectations were filled. Everyday has its own surprises and memorable moments. the landscapes were astonishing and the wildlife thriving. Abu made sure that we were the first on the go and the last back at the camp everyday to enjoy the most of our days. Abu is a very kind, interesting and knowledgeable person who has been trying very hard to give us unforgettable memories and we are grateful to him. Thanks to him we saw the migration, did a walking tour and enjoyed incredible views and moments on the vast plains of the Serengeti
I strongly recommend anyone willing to go on a safari to travel with Longway expedition. Ann will make sure to support you on your travel planning while you are abroad and reveals to be of great help. And for those of you who have enough time, they are also offering trips to the Lushoto area which is astonishingly beautiful.
