Just a few hours from a major city Dar Es Salaam is an oasis where there is an abundance of animals, beautiful lodges and kind people. I arrived in Zanzibar for a beach break but couldnt resist heading to the mainland for a safari and I'm so glad I did!

Tanzania was great! We had organized a safari with Safari Soles before we arrived. Our 10 day safari tour was mind blowing, We did not expect the variety of animals and the accommodations and food were fantastic. Each park had its highlights. We enjoyed the northern park areas more as the southern parks were much busier with tourist traffic. We had fantastic weather and enjoyed being guided by a Massi to some waterfalls and to Natron lake.

Next we flew to Zanzibar for 10 days. The Nungwi beach was beautiful. In Stone Town we enjoyed watching the beach activities, walking through town, the tasty food and the markets. Overall Tanzanians are very welcoming. We never felt unsafe; however the majority of vendors were uncomfortably pushy. Be sure to negotiate prices of tours and items.

The scenery was beautiful and varied throughout Tanzania. We enjoyed a day trip to the foothills of Kilimanjaro where we learned how coffee was grown and the locals had us participate in making a good cup. They also cooked us a delicious lunch.

We really enjoyed our holiday!

“I embarked on a 5-day safari adventure in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro regions, encountering the magnificent Big 5 along the way, with the exception of the elusive rhino. One standout moment was witnessing a leopard feasting on a gazelle—a truly special sight.

The weather was consistently hot, but a light night storm in the Serengeti added a touch of beauty to our journey. Our guides were excellent, even though accommodations were basic. The highlight was the fantastic food.

A surprise came in the form of cold weather in the Ngorongoro mountains, but it didn’t dampen our spirits. I learned so much about animal behavior, habitats, and the fascinating lifestyle of the Hadza people.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this safari experience, though I might opt for a shorter 4-day trip in the future due to the bumpy terrain.”

My wife and I were celebrating our 10th-year wedding anniversary, and we wanted somewhere in Africa that would provide that true, authentic African experience. We certainly made the right choice in Tanzania! We landed in Zanzibar and flew out the next day to Serengeti. where we were met by our exceptional tour guide, Karim, from Psalms Adventures. Over our three-day stay in the wilderness, we saw all sorts of animals. Actually, now that I think of it, we saw so many! Serengeti is definitely rich in fauna! We drove around the national park with our kids, and they were just so enriched by the experience. No dull moment! Our stay at Mbalageti Lodge was fantastic, and the Manager even went out of her way to create a special surprise for us to mark our celebration. The tour operator was really super professional and certainly offered a fair price for the experience that we had. We flew back to Zanzibar and headed out to the East of the Island to enjoy the awesome resorts by the Indian Ocean with our larger family. Best holiday ever! The beaches, the numerous activities, the food, the culture... It had everything. All in all, our Tanzanian experience was beautiful! The people were lovely, always willing to serve you with a smile, and so proud to let you into a bit of what is special in the country. Simply put, Tanzania is beautiful! Go enjoy it yourself!

We did a five day four night safari ( took about 3,000 photos )then the next day we climbed MT. Kilaminjaro to the first base camp. We chose camping in a tent and it was incredible in the Saringeti besides the countless animals we saw during the day they also came thru our campsite both day and especially at night. Lions came right by our tent the first night i could hear them grunting and then walking around our tent. Another safari tour guide in the tent next to ours looked out his window flap and saw a large male standing in front of our tent. The next night i could hear them about 40 yards away from the campsite roaring and grunting. Not to mention all of the other animal sounds near our campsite at night Hyenas etc. It was very exciting and interesting, i guess we should have been scared but at the time we weren't. The culture of the many villages and tribes was incredibly interesting. All of the different African trees including fruit trees like avacado, bananna and sugar cane, coffee plantations and countless unique plant life we saw was incredible. The weather was about perfect one day was a little hot in the Sarengeti and a light rain at night a couple of times. All in all this was a trip of a lifetime!

Except for the government run accommodations, a successful and recommendable trip

The booking with Mansoor Mohamed was smooth and absolutely professional. Thank you very much!!!
We were assigned a driver with the name "Zakaria"
He was an absolute stroke of luck. He is integer, educated and a good helpful driver.

Mikumi NP: There was no soap, towel or toilet paper in the bungalow. The mosquito net only covered half of the bed. Therefore it was absolutely unusable. The outside doors had a 2 cm. gap at the bottom. As soon as light was turned on, a number of insects and bugs came into the room, attracted by the light.

Ruha National Park: In the bungalow there was toilet paper, but no linen in the bed, no soap and the window was only up to the half with an insect screen.

For the price I paid, I did not expect anything great, but such minimalism surprised me. Because that is not a question of cost, but of basic service.
The food in both cases was, to put it kindly, functional.
As an intermediary, I strongly recommend contacting both Park Headquarters to remedy the situation.
I am convinced that these shortcomings are only disinterest and laziness.
Please advise clients before booking that this are government run accommodations. These are often worse- worldwide.

Mloka Safari Lodge: You immediately notice the difference between accommodations provided by the government and privately run.
Here everything was just right. Nice clean bungalow, with towel, soap and toilet paper. The room was hosed down before going to sleep. Good service, good food. Highly recommended. The boat tour could have been spared, especially since we started half an hour later, as a guide had to be found first.
Summary:
Booking: Very good
Driver: Excellent
Accommodation in the NP: Unsatisfactory
Safari: Very Good
Overall rating: Good

One of the most memorable tour of our life., we as a family enjoyed to the fullest everything about tanzania., the jungle , the wild animals, the stay in tents in open jungle in serengeti and lions and hyenas roaming around tents the entire night., and ofcourse the zanzibar beaches and wild life encounter at cheetah rock., not to forget swimming with sea turtles and horse in zanzibar., for the first time we came across a site, where we got names of 3 different travel agency with different quotes to compare., nice concept and everyone planning himself should make use this idea. overall, a beautiful trip with humble peoples and wild animals. thanx

This was my second visit to Tanzania, the first being in 2017. Would have been back sooner of not for Covid. I have mainly been to the north vising the parks of Mkomazi, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and of course the Serengeti. My main reason for travelling to Tanzania is to see the migration and it hasn't disappointed on either occasion. I am an animal lover and have been blown away by the diversity of the parks and sheer numbers of animals that can be observed. It is like living your own National Geographic documentary. I also must compliment the accommodations I have stayed in. They have all been clean, well-appointed and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The only down-side is the load shedding with the electricity this trip in Arusha, but the hotel did have a generator which kicked in quickly. The quality and quantity of the food offered at the hotels and the campgrounds and lodges. Lastly but by no means least was the friendliness of the local people (including the local guides), which put me at ease and made the trips that much more pleasant.
