You will see all the animals you came for!

I thought it was nice country with great wildlife and friendly people. Aside from the wild life and the Serengeti, we did not have time to see much else. Arusha is meh, you wouldn't go there except to go on safari. The lodges are uneven but generally plenty nice enough. The food is generally just OK--but again you don't go there to eat. Our guide was outstanding--so skilled at spotting wildlife and more determined than even we were to make sure we saw it. His name is Joseph with Lion King Adventures. We did do a day trip to Kilimanjaro but I wouldn't bother. The beginning of the trail that you would see could be anywhere. Like many, we never caught a glimpse of the mountain due to clouds!

An unforgettable experience

It was a very pleasant, spontaneous and uncomplicated trip. We were always well taken care of and lacked nothing during the safari. The nice driver always drove us to the best spots where we could always decide how long we would stay. We saw everything from the Big Fives to the Big Migration. Great tour operators, great team. Thank you! I would recommend to everyone!

Wildlife, nature and people

I am very impressed by nature: wild animals, savannas, mountains, waterfall Materuni (must-visit, I think) but, however, I really liked to look at the way of life of the locals and listen from them to their attitude to life, too. They are so calm, kind and cheerful.

In the resorts of Zanzibar, there is a big problem with annoying sellers of tours, food, gifts and other things, this is a big minus of local resorts, but the water and beaches here are very beautiful!

The wildlife’s wealth of this country is unbelievable and we have to advise you to go there!

Thanks to Joagro Safari who enable us to discover their amazing country!

The one and only african Safari Experience
Overall rating

Safari experience is amazing because of the huge number and the variety of wild animals living in the parks. We have been so lucky, we saw every moment of wild beasts’ migration crossing the Masa River (late August 2023) and it was quite touching and spectacular. We truly experienced the lions’ life: young male adults sharing chilling moments, lionesses and cubs, but the breathless thing was observing from the beginning ‘til the end a lioness hunting, catching and eating a warthog. We travelled with Suricata Safari and we want to thank our amazing guide Edgar. He showed us professionality, respect of the einvroiment , animals and incredible knowledge of the nature around us. Best experience ever.

We had great time with our nice driver and great cooker during this week in the main parks of Tanzania! It was worth it; just hope human beings would change their minds about nature preservation and help our children see these species for a looooong future.

Amazing wildlife all around!

I absolutely loved my recent visit to Tanzania. I went on a 5 day safari with my friend and we had a jeep all to ourselves. As we were there in peak season the parks were very busy but we got to see everything that we came across clear enough to take great photos so it wasn't really a problem. Our camps were lovely and our driver did a good job to find as many animals as possible although we did not see Rhino. We saw lots of eagles and different birds too which was awesome. The roads are very bumpy! And at this time of year very dusty so you may wish to cover your face and hair. The weather was very dry and in the North Serengeti very hot otherwise I didn't think it was uncomfortable the rest of the time. We loved seeing lots of Giraffe walking about outside of the parks and all the Elephants close up, especially in Tarangire. I loved Tanzania and will definitely be returning.

The paradise to see nature
Overall rating

If you are looking for a safe place in the world to see many, many animals in their natural habitat, Tanzania is "the place". People are wonderful and do their best to make you feel comfortable. Nature is really preserved in the national parks.
Choosing a local tour operator is the best to support african people. We were extremely satisfied with Safari Soles operator. We recommend it and we also recommend a budget package (in tents) to be closer to nature. A Big Five safari during a week is amazing !

We travelled as a party of three, myself with my daughter and mum. We booked our safari through Savannah Explorers whom I can 100% recommend. They created an itinerary based on our interests and even added an extra day to our itinerary when our flight was changed.
We loved everything about Tanzania that we experienced - whilst our initial impression was of a bustling city, but we found that once out of Arusha, Tanzania became so much more. Before I talk about our trip, a couple of things we are glad we had taken with us, because shops are very few and far between and not your usual High Street shops at that! We took plenty of Imodium Instants which we did have to make use of, and also incontinence pants, just for peace of mind as toilet stops were as and when they were available which tended to be 2-3 hour intervals. We were also pleased to have taken travel sickness tablets as the roads, once you get into the National parks, are very bumpy, noisy dirt/gravel tracks and whilst our vehicle was very comfortable, you definitely get shaken about!
Our trip was for 9 days and we stayed in a combination of hotels, lodges and tented camps. We definitely recommend the tented camps in the Serengeti as you are immersed in the wildlife and sounds of the Serengeti. We also visited Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara National park, where we did a night game drive, which I would not recommend as we saw only a few small animals. I have since heard it is better to do night game drives at Tarangire. Each of the National parks has very different scenery and provides different experiences.
We saw lots and lots of different animals and had seen the Big 5 after our first two days! The lions, leopards and cheetahs were not as prolific as I was expecting, they were quite hard to spot! We only saw one rhino and that was only it's horn!
It was fascinating following the wildebeest migration and we were lucky enough to see herds crossing the Mara river along with some zebra and antelopes.
Another highlight of our time in the Serengeti was our early morning balloon ride - we were above the herds of wildebeest and spotted hippos, antelopes, zebras, hyenas, warthogs and giraffes - the whole flight was magical and we ended with a breakfast together. One thing I would like to mention was the balloon sections were groups of four and we were a three so managed to be together, but there was a larger group who had to be split up and fill in the empty spaces - I would have been very disappointed if this had happened to us, so it may be worth checking this first.
We visited a Maasi village which was really interesting and gave us an insight into how they live, they sell jewellery and wooden items which we ended up buying quite a lot of! US Dollars or Tanzanian schilling are accepted. Another highlight was our visit to Mto Wa Mbu which was a village where 120 tribes live side by side. We visited a market, an artists studio, tried banana beer and enjoyed a local lunch, it was definitely worth visiting. Every person we met during our trip were friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed learning about the culture.
Our tour was full board, made up of buffet breakfast and evening meals and a packed lunch. We particularly enjoyed the food at the tented camps and tried lots of things we have never come across before!
We felt safe at all times and our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and drove really well, despite the poor road surfaces.
The weather was mainly cloudy/sunny around 27°C but we did have the occasional bit of drizzly weather.
We managed to catch a glimpse of the top of Mount Kilimanjaro on the plane on our way home!
