Tanzania is a large country with a lot of beautiful scenery. Every park has it\'s own characteristics and is worth a visit. While many species can be found in multiple parks, combining multiple parks is a great way to see the animals in different surroundings. Arusha National Park has a different climat compared to Serengeti National Park but both are awesome.

The wildlife is so varied and the scenery is superb. One of the mose beautiful sites is the sunrise and sunsets in the Serengeti and at the top of Ngorongoro Crater.

Tanzania is one of the best places in the world, if not the best, for seeing large mammals in the wild. It's not as touristy as some other countries in Africa. The people are friendly, and the culture is interesting (particularly the Maasai).

Would you like to spend morning with the lions? Have a lunch with one hundred hippos in the pool? Or maybe take a ride to the bottom of the biggest volcanic caldera in the world so you can see some huge elephants ? Tanzania is one of the best destination in the world. Just two of them Serengeti National Park and Crater Ngorongoro are the must to visit for every traveler. Meeting with Masai warriors- one of the kind. There are friendly people and every bigger or smaller town offers place to sleep and good food. Arusha is a good place to start your journey in exploring parks. Spending couple days in Serengeti for sure you'll meet Big African Five.
I think the best time to visit Tanzania is October-November when great migration takes place.
It could be hot during the day and cooler in the evenings. So always have right clothes with you. I also recommend to visit Zanzibar. Beautiful island that belongs to Tanzania. Warm Indian Ocean, white beach, unique City of Zanzibar with Stone Town and parks with endemic animals will satisfied everybody. If you need more information visit my blog

Loved Tanzania. The people we met were friendly and fun-loving, it felt very much like the cliched postcard view of Africa but was none the worse for it. Plenty to see and do there and, as you would expect, a tried and tested tourism industry.

I think its just the most pristine and safe safari destination of all African safari places. Not too many real concrete roads, wildlife at its best.

Tanzania is a must-visit location for anyone who considers himself a world traveler

Tanzania is not the only place in the world to see such a large array of wildlife, but it is certainly a great one. Everything from huge herds of zebras and gazelles to the most solitary of the “Big 5” fauna can be found within a few metres of the roads that stripe the surfaces of the parks. But Tanzania is still not the most popular of locations for a Safari (Kenya and South Africa are), which means that there are fewer cars on those roads.
A Northern Tanzania safari gives you a chance to see four different parks with four extremely different ecosystems. It is shocking that the vast savannahs of Serengeti, the lush forests of Lake Manyara, the volcanic oasis of Ngorongoro, and the rolling hills of Tarangire are mere hours’ drives from each other.
Accommodations range from Spartan to lush – we spent our tour in Serena and Sopa lodges, which provide above-average levels of comfort without feeling like we were paying for unnecessary opulence.
We chose Ranger Safaris as our guides, which is one of the largest tour operators in Tanzania (Other large operators are Wildersun and Leopard), and were treated very nicely by all our points of contact. Our driver was a former government veterinarian who had amazing experience and information. His car was well equipped and we always felt safe.
We chose a time which, ordinarily, would have placed us directly in the Great Migration. Unfortunately, due to a short wet season, most of the wildebeest had already left. We were not disappointed in the numbers or the variety of animals we saw, but my advice to any reader is to not pin your hopes on seeing this phenomenon if you are booking many months in advance. Sometimes, Mother Nature has other plans.
Please read further for my opinion on the parks we visited. Overall, we spent our trip completely amazed, and will not hesitate to recommend Northern Tanaznia to anyone who has interest in African safaris.
