Didn't see the big five but the scenery and intimate experience with nature made it exceptional!

I loved Zimbabwe, everything was amazing, the few touristy places we visited like Victoria Falls and Antelope Park, where I thought there would be lots of people, there weren't, you had space to do your own thing.
And the wild places were really wild and untouched, it felt like we were the only people there. If you are going to Zimbabwe it would go to all the places I went and I would go again, Victoria Falls, Antelope Park, Hwange National Park and the Great Zimbabwe Ruins
Zimbabwe has the most amazing landscape, wildlife, and overall African experience.

An Amazing Holiday
I had the pleasure of going on a holiday to Zimbabwe. My mum lived there so I visited her with my girlfriend. We spent two weeks going around Zimbabwe. We stayed at Matobo Hills just outside of Bulawayo and Sikumi Tree Lodges near Hwange National Park. We also visited Victoria Falls. The whole trip was amazing. We saw so much wildlife from an 80 strong herd of elephants right down to snakes and small crocodiles. Sikumi tree Lodges was an exciting place offering night drives, walking safari and day safaris. Zimbabwe touched me and I will never forget the beauty and the early morning sunrises across the plains. Incredible!
As explained above- LESS PEOPLE - More like the westerners Vision of a REAL Safari. Dirt Roads etc.

Zimbabwe is a great place to visit. 20 years ago it was on the beaten track, then with 'the troubles' people stopped going. The wonderful places are still there - minus the tourists (at the moment!). Get there before everyone else does.

The national parks in Zimbabwe are set in different geographical locations which offer bush, lakeside, cliffs or mountains and makes it very interersting and varied to visit. Its low level of tourists keeps safari very wild and the guides are usually of great knowledge. Birding is wonderful, with over 650 species of birds recorded in the country. Besides, there is the cultural heritage which is worth a visit too, like Great Zimbabwe, or ancient bushman paintings to be found all over the country.

Zimbabwe is a safe country to drive in. Car hire is easy, efficient and there are plenty of places to go for fuel and supplies. The roads are generally good and there are things to see all over the place. National Parks all over the country where the wildlife viewing is varied as well as plentiful. The birdlife is out of this world. Zimbabwe has the advantage of having diverse soil types hosting diverse vegetation and therefore diverse flora and fauna. From the Dry Semi-desert of the South East and South West to the Pristine forests and perrenial streams of the Eastern Highlands.

Zimbabwe has outstanding wildlife. The scenery is varied, and just lovely. The guides are the best trained in Africa. It also offers an outstanding bush vibe.
