The people are friendly & the guides are very knowledgeable. They are a little laid back but as we will be on a holiday, that fine! The Serengeti National Park/Lake Manyara NP & Ngorongoro Crater can be a route to see a lot of birds indeed. You will not be disappointed!!! If you are arriving via Arusha Airport, Mt Kilimanjaoro can be on the list too.

There are a lots of great NP´s around. The distance between the hotspots is sometimes long, but worth each mile.

I have only travelled on the northern safari circuit but have found the parks to be well maintained and abundant with wildlife. The tourist infrastructure in the north has also improved greatly in the last few years between my visits. I would love to go back and spend time in the southern parts of the country.

Seeing the animals in their 'homes' was incredible, Mt. Kilamajaro was incredible to see, everyone was so helpful and accommodating to me! Loved the food, and the people were kind and wonderful!

I have just come back from a truly remarkable safari in Tanzania. The country is blessed with everything from scenic landscapes and beautiful animals to stunning sandy beaches. An excellent choice for people wanting to go on Safari for their first time.

The density of animals is amazing. The first day or two we were overwhelmed by the variety of animals. My lasting impression is of the number of animals. The enormous herds of zebras, cape buffalo and elephant. I counted over 300 elephants crossing a dried lake.

Tanzania has such a varied animal life that no one will take a game drive and come away disappointed. I'm not a birder, but even I saw so many different species of birds that I was blown away and would certainly consider coming back just to learn more about birds. Sadly, some places are completely overrun with tourists, but if you have a good guide, they'll manage to steer you places where you can still be alone with whatever animal you want to see. Tanzania is not a cheap place to visit, though, especially if you want to hit the more popular national parks, but I'm sure that doesn't come as a surprise to anyone.
